Keep quiet. I would.
Then I'd get the guilts and feel bad but I'd probably still just keep quiet

oh what to do
ordered MrH work trainers from an online outlet that I have used before - when they arrived wrong size in the box - contacted and agreed they could go back - in the meantime ordered more - arrived and wrong shoes in the box to what I had ordered - totally unsuitable for work - contacted again and they agreed to return and pay for return carriage - all this went through on the 28th April - full refund plus courier fee - so far so good
Ordered more shoes from another outlet while this muddle was going on and now today 2 pairs of shoes have turned up from original supplier - I have not ordered them and they have took no money
do I confess or keep quiet ??
Try to keep quiet, BUT, the shoes will squeak when walking in them
Don't ask me why, but my Granny used to say that squeaky shoes meant they weren't paid for
Love it Cinds, I wonder where that came from.. They usually have some sort of history that kind of makes sense.
Jen, I've just googled and found that it goes back to the old days when shoes squeaked while you wore them in, and poorer people who had to buy them on credit would probably pay them off around the time they stopped squeaking. Don't know whether that's the answer, but it seems logical.
God if you could hear this right Dhead in our office right now. Claiming he's a mercenary who's worked all over the world. Yeah right mate, that's why you're in our office right now asking for work to help us recover bad debt
ETA: After I posted that message he went on to claim that he'd been requested to be one of the funeral cortege guards at Margaret Thatchers funeral
Yeah OK Walter Mitty
I swear I'm developing a cold or possibly flu
Jen it could be the tree pollen, I always feel like that at this time of year. Never really get hayfever, but I always feel a bit lousy when it's tree pollen time.
Next time I see one, I'll snap a branch of it and whip it using the branch.
My mum always says squeaky shoes aren't paid for too

I love winding people like that up Cinds.... i 'one up them' and see how much bull i can get them to come out with
Re: the tree pollen, i've been aching, like all across my shoulders/upper back hay fever doesn't do that to you does it?
Bloody hell!! Royal Mail aren't half making their money these days!
I bought some boots on ebay this week and paid a fiver postage to the seller. They arrived this morning and I noticed the postage was ÂĢ8. I thought that was a bit dear but shrugged it off thinking the seller had sent them some other way than I would normally.
Then I went to the post office to post 9 items that I sold on ebay (I've sold 20 but think I'd be taking the pee if I took 20 parcels in with me in one go). Anyway, first few parcels were fine although I noticed that they had gone up in price from the usual ÂĢ2.20 to ÂĢ2.80. No big deal. Then I got to the 5 pairs of shoes I was posting. ÂĢ5.50!! I nearly had a heart attack. They've gone from ÂĢ3.75 (or round about that) to ÂĢ5.50. I am pissed off because 2 of the pairs of shoes I sold went for cheap so I made exactly 80p on one pair and 25p on another.
Feckers.
The thing is with postage, you're better off going to the post office prior to selling them on eBay, so you know what postage is going to cost. We learned the hard way when we sold some vacuums that in mainland UK would cost us ÂĢ10 carriage but one went to Ireland and it negated all profits.
There was a major price hike that came into effect 30th April. Loads of sellers on ebay have been caught out by it just like me. I can't imagine ebay doing too well from this, buyers won't want to pay big postage prices to get a 'bargain'. Well I won't anyway!
Anyone planning a barbie this weekend? I am - hope I don't put the mockers on the weather
I'm clothes shopping with my daughter tomorrow. Just High Street clobber and nothing fancy; she needs holiday 'stuff' and I'm obviously the mule.
Anyone planning a barbie this weekend? I am - hope I don't put the mockers on the weather
Err... it's forecast to rain in the south, Soozy, but I don't suppose that matters much to you

Alright, don't rub it in!
And mind you don't flambe those sausages.
The thing is with barbies - it should in theory be easier as the 'men' traditionally do the cooking. I end up fetching and carrying - the washing up seems to be ten fold and all the ectra bits and bobs are a faff. In all honesty I'd rather do a roast but .....you've gotta make hay (and kebabs/burgers/sausages etc.) while the sun shines I suppose.
I'm making a Slimming World cheesecake using Quark .....never done that before - I'm a bit apprehensive TBH.

Quark was a computer graphic package when I used it back in the day! Be careful what you eat Sooz!
I've never let Mr Cosi near our barbie and I never will.
To be fair, he's never wanted to go near the barbie either.
It's all peace and harmony at ours

* makes notes to send nephews out in search of supermarket trollies. The weather has been too good not to today *
I think it'll catch on.
You put your shopping in the trolley and stick straight onto the coals

It'll save the councils having to fish them out of the rivers and canals!
I'm watching reeves and mortimer on gold. It hasn't aged one bit - still funny - quite surprised.
You're right. She's not exactly Pippa Middleton in this instance.
