Steak is better out of date ............the older the better - trust me. I buy it and keep it for ages deliberately - well beyond sell by..

 

I've made a fish pie - the kitchen stinks but it looks luvverly - will be eating it later

It was out of date on the 3rd...which was when I bought it so I was quite silly to not have read the label.  I always think steak smells a bit funny no matter what.  Dinner was lovely though....and for probably the first time ever I don't have a hangover after being really a wee bit drunk last night drinking too many cocktails and sambucca!
