Spam and cereal, now that's a meal of Jamie Olivers nightmares. 

Can I recommend to the forum a nice shot of ice cold caramel vodka.

I don't normally do b@stardised alcohol but I commend this little aside to all who imbibe

Cosi I love caramel vodka shots.  Too good to be true.

Can I recommend to you, buying a bag of Werthers Originals and smashing them in to dust, then pour it in to a bottle of vodka.  (The vodka has to be kept warm otherwise the Werthers caramelises at the bottom of the bottle).  But a good shake before pouring in to a shot glass.  Absolute perfection.

Can I also add my recommendations for a Violet Martini.

I will hunt the recipe out and post it soon.  Costs about £60 to buy all of the ingredients, but well worth it.

In all honesty Sprout, I've no idea what day it is.  Not 'cos I've been on a lunch (which is epic in its time scale) but because I've sort of lost track of time.

I think this is what it must feel like when you finally lose your marbles.

Honestly, I like a cocktail but I can't do too much faffing around with alcohol in the main.  I stumbled across caramel voddy when a local bar had run out of amaretto (what? Exactly!). Since then, as an in between rounds, we have a swift 'short' which invariably manifests itself as a caramel voddy.

Not that we're thirsty types   But y'know... sometimes the vino doesn't go down as easily as you'd like.

I really need to practice more.

I'm torn.

I like a good gripping too.  But I also like something that slides down easily.

Now which is best?  Only one way to find out!

I may take the first 3 ingredients, double the quantities, and leave it at that.. as I have a feeling I may be drinking the contents of my Aunt Mabel's perfume selection otherwise.  No offence meant, but I can't do flowery as a drinking concept. 

That's unless you can promise me that it doesn't taste like the contents of a herbaceous border..?

I like the idea of alternating the slide and the grip; it could work!

Sometimes you've just gotta embrace both aspects of the equasion.

I'm just watching a program About UFOs.  Apparently one flew from goodness knows where over tens of billions of light years to hover over a Texas courthouse 

They asked the weather girl on our local news channel what the weather was going to be like the weekend and she said "in a word, very cold"
