Does anyone remember me bleating on about wanting a large lantern to sit in the corner in my kitchen.  I finally found the suitable candidate.

Only problem ..........................she's made a total pigs ear of it

I have had her for years bless her (I'm embarrassed to go anywhere else) she's not the sharpest tool in the box nor the best hairdresser TBH but I don't do anything dramatic and she knows what I want (usually).

I had let it get really long (for me) it was going into a bob - I wanted an 'under cut' shaped at the back and sides but keeping the length on the top in razored layers (sort of choppy).

I showed her a pic on the computer and ................................she's just hacked away with the razor and it's even shorter than I normally have 

I'm a bit gutted - I'm not a particularly vain or fussy person but I'm off to France in a week or two and wanted it nice.

Of course I thanked her gushingly and tipped her generously - waved her off and came in - stood in front of the mirror tearing at my hair and going grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Like the lamp by the way and I'm whispering this bit - shhhhhh - I put on a pound this week

I really really didn't want to laugh, but I failed miserably.

Awwww Soozy it's really upsetting when you get a bad hair cut, it's not so bad if it's long as you can tie it up until it grows again.  *fingers crossed* I've used the same hairdresser for over 10 years now and have never had a bad cut off her.  But to be honest my hair grows really fast, I get it cut every 4 weeks, so it wouldn't take that long for it to grow out of a bad cut.

It was when she was tickling the back of his head and then slapping him that my will power gave way.

my daughters boyfriend has just finished with her  after 2 year's, she is in bits upstairs, I hate to see her like this  I've offered to go and beat him up but she said no 

Awwwwww Aimee - it's just the worst isn't it? Don't know what to advise I've been there my daughters ex finished with her after 11 years - she started seeing him from age 16 - he more or less moved in from day one - they had a house together etc, etc, - it was the worst time of my life.

Just be there to cuddle her if and when she wants to - it takes a while but it is heartbreaking

I agree Jen.  Give her a hug Aimee, but she's young, and although it won't seem like it now, she'll get over him, and in a while she'll look back and think 'what did I see in him'

he is the loser, he has lost someone who loved him, whilst little aims has lost someone who doesn't care

Love it  It looks Moroccan? I have little lanterns, a black one and a silver one. Would love to get one with tinted glass. I imagine it makes the place look very atmospheric.

Probably more than you all need to know, but I am so tired now.  Spent the first half of last week sleeping off that flu Renton brought in to the forum .  

Then the day I actually managed to get out of bed I got the stomach bug the Queen is suffering from, and it's day 5 now and nothing is making it better.  Drinking water by the gallon, food isn't doing it for me.
