a boring subject I know

and maybe directed more to Cinds and her cleaning products and know how  but any help from anyone would be appreciated as I am at the end of my tether with them

I have an old bath not a plastic one that was in immaculate condition till my Lad reached the age of tinkering about with cars

I have a couple of marks on the bottom that I am blaming on him - engine/gearbox oil springs to mind that try as I might I cant completely shift

I scrub with all sorts of products  and I get them almost gone till the next bath and they rear their ugly head again ......  seems like bath products bring them out ??

Anyone else have/had this problem and found a cleaner that will shift for good ?

ahh  google says this should peel off once dry ....  white plastic sticks you find in manicure sets help separating the two  ....  worth a try I guess

DO NOT use nail varnish remover

so far I have used numerous bathroom cleaners .... with and without bleach - Zif cream - vim/zif old fashioned powder - bartenders friend compound powder- bicarbonate of soda

all of them lift the marks but not completely and as I say as soon as the bath is used they return quite dark again

I have maybe messed it up and in ground them some how by using the wrong things

Son is barred now till he has scrubbed all crap from him before getting in

this has been going on with the marks for a few months now which makes me think I am stuck with them

Soozy how exciting a new kitchen.  I'm hoping to do mine this year, but we've just got planning permission through to build an extension at the back of the house, so can't decide whether to start that first and then do the kitchen or go ahead with the kitchen now.  I just want rid of this damn cream kitchen.

*disclaimer - I don't hate cream kitchens in general, just mine when two wet dogs have been in it - I want a kitchen that's a bit of a better muck colour*

Ooooooooooooooooh my new kitchen is cream gloss . We have knocked through into another room too - it's been a noisy, mucky, frustrating couple of weeks but I think we're turning the corner now. I'm more excited than a kid at Christmas!

Soozy I'm sure it will be lovely.  Honestly, if it wasn't for those dirty dogs my cream kitchen would be lovely.

We want pics when it's all done Sooz.

I'm not making my kitchen bigger, just rearranging and replacing.  The extension is going to be another (much bigger) lounge, that I will allow the dogs to go in

Mrs H have you tried cleaning it while the surface is hot?,if the warmth of the water seems to make the stains re-appear I'd clean it while it's hot.

It's great stuff Sooz,I've a thing for cleaning products, bit sad but it's true,I've tried them all but still love that stuff for a lot of things...Hang in there Sooz, the kitchen's  almost complete,it is a nightmare I know but just think this time tomorrow you could be whizzing around filling your cabinets etc.

Don't think it'll be that soon Lee - it's a big kitchen and there are still other bits to do as well. I was hoping it'd only take a day but the builder said the fitters could take two days - I suppose there's plumbing etc. - then .................................the floors got to be laid and I haven't even chosen my tiles yet! I want to see what the units and work tops look like before I decide (I think I know but I'll wait). We did paint the walls and ceiling yesterday and I love the colour - my lights went in today and I can't wait until it's dark so I can get the full effect.

It's dinner at the golf club tonight - KFC yesterday - my daughters was on Saturday - the list goes on - I'm getting so impatient!
