Simon's 'American Smooth'  - not what I expect from an American Smooth.. didn't like it and she nearly kicked him in the teeth getting into the last hold (shame...) - and what was the lift with her perched on his shoulder and walking in the air.. nah.. not for me.

Caroline - wow!     That was a fab A.T. - not overly complicated I suppose, but lovely - her lines were beautiful.    Did she apologise to him after the dance?  I thought she sounded upset and he told her it was fine she'd be ok.  (Just watching the Claudia interview.. for someone who's ermm.. personal life... is splashed all over the newspapers she was very shy about flashing her bits when Pasha picked her up  

I like Pixie and she's a great dancer.. but that dance did nothing for me.  Can't put my finger on why, but didn't enjoy it.

Mark has turned out to be a really nice dancer - I like him and that dance was lovely.    He'll probably not get the votes because of the Towie thing, but if Tom Chambers had done that people would be wetting themselves....

Jake - a lot of really good moves in that dance, but the facial expressions really put me off.   Good dancer, but that didn't float me boat really.  Shame.

Frankie and HIM - nah.. didn't do it for me either.  I can't stand Kevin, I might have mentioned this.    Funny - as a 'ringer' with the experience Frankie has in her day job you'd think she would be better at latin than ballroom and she's not.     Still.. that's ringer theories for you.....

This 'ringer' problem....

I've been thinking as to how many celebrities there are that haven't had some training in one way or another?

Most actors nowadays come with some form of dance school training - it's part and parcel of learning their craft - or it seems to be.  

Singers have a rhythm advantage.

As does anyone who's a musician.

So, to avoid the dilemma completely I can only envisage the likes of Widdy, Hairy Biker, News Readers, Journalists, Sportsmen and women (but they have an athletic advantage ) and cave dwellers being suitable applicants.

I'm not sure it would make for good peak time viewing.  You only have to look at the 1st ever final to see that the quality was dreadful and not particularly pleasant on the eye.

I thought Natasha was hot.

Maybe   But the quality of her dancing wasn't.

I've just watched last night's dances again, my favourite by far was Caroline and Pasha's AT, (one of my favourite dances on SCD, ever,) followed by Mark and  Karen's foxtrot, then Simon and Kristina's AS, ( I know it wasn't traditional, but on this o/c, that worked for me.) Public vote and dance off could be interesting tonight?

Put that way, I get your point However, Ido think that extensive training and having competed before does warrant the *ringer* sobriquet and some people who are *creatives* in various ways have had a hell of a lot of dance experience
