I don't like the use of "devastating" if you don't make the final. "Mildly miffed but I'll eventually get over it" works a lot better.

Ola was sort of quitting dancing anyway to start a family, that's what I heard.
But I hope she hasn't damaged herself too much that she can never dance again.
