Supes, I think this post ^^^^ was meant for the X Factor thread.

Isn't it pretty much inevitable that any celeb in light entertainment is going to be a 'ringer'?

Because the likes of Simon  may have done a few moves for a vid, doesn't really mean they are trained dancers.

Maybe they should restrict invitations to sports people and reality 'stars' - although didn't the gymnast win last year, he probably had a fair bit of physical and movement training in his career.

News readers would be ok too.Apart from the likes of Angela Ripon.

Watching on catch up - so just going to watch the dances, leave my comments then read the thread

Pixie - I thought the actual dancing was 'proper' Viennese walz - but there was too much faffing for me.  Couldn't be done with the 'comedy' antics of Trent.

Mark - I thought he did well there - not perfect by any stretch, but I like him and if we're going on the premise that the most improved should win, then it should be him.  I reckon he might be bottom two out of who's left though - think he's got one week left (unless the 'get the ringers out' posse start to vote off the better dancers now)

Who are all these randoms wandering around the dance floor?  Get the extras off and let us concentrate on the flippin' couple who are in the competition

Sunetra did quite well with the Rumba i thought - better than I thought she would.   You could tell she's had dance training though - very Bollywoodesque hand and arm movements.

Caroline     I loved that.  Favourite of the night so far.

Simon .. .lovely dance, - and they almost made Kristina seem demure.    How the hell did that happen?

Frankie - really like her, but just a shade below her best for me tonight - I'd put her behind Simon and Caroline.. then again, she just might seem slighly underpar because Kevin always has to make sure he's the star.

Jake - hmm.... I think jake had potential, but the choreography wasn't good imo.  He didn't get enough to do in the beginning - too much standing around while she wrapped her legs around him (something i'm sure she does a lot of) and the whole Greek bit at the end was a mess.

I'm on the iPlayer, I haven't read the thread. Pixie & Trent what a lot of faff! I've had to watch it twice as I realised that all that nonsense from Trent meant I hadn't really seen what Pixie was doing - turned out to be just a lot of twirling and not much else. 9-9-10-10? What were the judges watching? I take it everyone else got nines and tens too - unless they were totally dire?

Now? You mean you liked it at first?

It's been rubbish from the start!

I was tolerant, but tolerance has morphed into boredom. I don't really need a gazillion poorly written and performed jokes.

Sunetra's between a rock and a hard place with this dance.

She's not one of the bright young things, so to exude sexiness is probably far too ridiculous to even contemplate DESPITE the fact that she could.

It's so easily look naff, cringey or desperate.

I'm not altogether sure that she and Brendan suit each other anyway.

I thought she looked great and I liked her dance.

I've watch Kevin and Frankie twice now and I still don't like that jive.

Routine was awful, looked messy too.

And those kicks from Frankie appeared heavy

I'm actually surprised at how disappointing that was.

I'm none the wiser now that I've seen Jake.

Really they should have done a trad Greek dance to that music as I'm not totally convinced that the fusion worked.  You'd like to think that the music helps set the vibe for a dance and I'm not sure that it did.

I love Sirtaki and I love AT.... but not together.
