Aimee   You know I don't read spoilers so I wanted to make sure it didn't look like I was trying to tread on your toes.

That Baz is a wild one

I wouldn't have thought that anyway whoever sees the spoiler first is free to post it x

Thanks, darling

I think you've got the job of super sleuth for the foreseeable future

Now, who's going to tell Kaffs that I posted the truth and that Jeremy is indeed Going West this weekend

Oh, I believe you... but that has to win the prize for the most un-tango-esque music ever - and there's been some pretty unsuitable tango music on there..

Ever since we found out that the idiotic production team chose the songs and not the pro dancers it's made sense as to why so many dance/song combos have been dreadful.

Earlier on ITT Tristan was hinting how hard it was to dance to songs that have been previously used in earlier series (they've been claimed by others already sort of thing)....and that the Time Warp really is just THAT and not a salsa, jive or waltz!

I'm reminded of Mark Benton (yes, one of my faves) and how the production were hell bent on positioning him as the comedy act that year.  Iveta wouldn't be budged and she showed them how to do comedy without being treated as a laughing stock or a fool.  Mark was fun;  he wasn't an idiot.

Before the list of dances and songs, here's a little light relief.

Georgia and Giovanni - Charleston to ‘Hot Honey Rag' from Chicago.

Peter and Janette - Viennese Waltz to ‘You're My World’ by Cilla Black.

Jay and Aliona - Foxtrot ‘Lay Me Down’ by Sam Smith.

Katie and Anton - Rumba () to ‘Never Never Never' by Shirley Bassey.

Jeremy vs Anita for QS comparisons, plus Jamelia vying against Kellie in the Samba stakes.  Doesn't bode well does it?

Mind you, the words Anton & Rumba are pretty scary too....and that's before Katie's hit the gin bottle!

bless him

Curse him more like!

He must have lost a gazillion votes for even thinking it and I bet Peter's thinking "Damn, I should have thought of that"

You're welcome

I think it's a dead cert that Jamelia will go but I wonder who she'll be up against?  Possibly Peter..?  If his timing is bad like in his Charleston then he could be in trouble.

Jay and Aliona have got a great song, and I imagine Helen's will be a crowd pleaser;  Katie will need to remember the steps to avoid trouble and I expect Georgia to be top or 2nd on the leader board.

Anita and Gleb will deliver, and I don't even want to think about Kevin From Grimsby at all.

I think Katie will be in trouble soon ....sadly .

Yes, I think so too, but I do think that when she forgets her steps and isn't able to wing it (i.e. hide it well enough from the judges) it doesn't help. Still, she should be in hold a lot this week so that might save any disasters.

I'm not sure what dances are outstanding for any of them, and that could play a big part in the next few weeks too.

i agree I think from here on in it's going to be down to who the judges favour ....I see it going something along the lines of ...Jamelia , Katy , Kellie, Peter ....but my dream evictee would be Jay

Baz

Naughty, Baz    The poor lad's having a bad time of it (personally) AND getting flak from the judges who are being extremely rude and critical of him.  After witnessing Darcy wetting herself over Peter but ignoring the glaring mistakes he made....I know who I'd say they're favouring.

I want less hype and less over-marking; give me great dances & a good final.

(I think it's Georgia's to lose at this moment in time)

I really don't know any more.

What with the flakey judges and the moveable goalposts that they seem to be playing with, it could be anyone's guess.  K&K have quite a viewer friendly dance & song this week so that could save them, and Helen & Aljaz should breeze through with a VW to Etta.

Then again, there's less in the competition now and nerves could play a part.

I just wish I knew whether it's precision over content or vice versa that the judge's are basing their scores on.

THE SEMI FINAL DANCES & SONGS:

Will be posted below this lovely photo of....ummmm, something so rare that it's wearing cobwebs.

 Oh sorry, it's Craig...

Anita & Gleb:
Foxtrot to New York, New York
Salsa to ‘Feel This Moment’ by Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera.

Georgia & Giovanni:
Viennese Waltz to ‘Runaway’ by The Corrs
Cha Cha (music track TBC)
*Cha Cha replaces the Argentine Tango (no, I don't know why as yet)

Katie & Anton:
Waltz to ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ by Puccini
Charleston to ‘Too Darn Hot’ from the musical Kiss Me Kate.

Kellie & Kevin:
American Smooth to ‘Let’s Face The Music And Dance’
Rumba to ‘Songbird’ by Eva Cassidy.

Jay & Aliona:
Charleston to ‘Doctor Jazz’
Viennese Waltz to Bryan Adams’ ‘Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman’?

We have 2 Charleston dances to compare this week - Jay vs Katie.
Whilst predictions are that Katie and Anton will perform a traditional style of dance,  Aliona has said that she will be performing a more contemporary style with Jay.  Perhaps like this:

And yes, I did have to Google, research and play detective to find out what a contemporary Charleston might look like..!
