We owe the yanks a lot. Ever heard of D Day ?

But it's our day to remember our fallen, not America's

Yeah, they entered the war 3 years late and they dropped the A-bomb that killed innocent men women and children...yep, we owe them everything.

The music was enjoyed by both the Brits and the Yanks. Do we really need to be nit picking our allies?

Now, if they'd played some German Oom-pah band I'd have a problem.

And the dancers were dressed in American military uniforms.

Probably an homage to the Big Band sound of WW2 - Glen Miller?

That's fair enough, but I just found it a little off that our part in the war was ignored by the dancers and that theme.

My late dad served in WW2 and he had no time for all those"arses that parade about in their medals" his words,he was a quiet man etc.Served in the medical core in ,Egypt,Palestine etc.Must have seen some horrific sights. He loathed the marching and pomp etc with a vengeance.he never collected any of his service medals.I consider him a realist as to the horror of war..
