We owe the yanks a lot. Ever heard of D Day ?

But it's our day to remember our fallen, not America's

Yeah, they entered the war 3 years late and they dropped the A-bomb that killed innocent men women and children...yep, we owe them everything.

The music was enjoyed by both the Brits and the Yanks. Do we really need to be nit picking our allies?

Now, if they'd played some German Oom-pah band I'd have a problem.

And the dancers were dressed in American military uniforms.

Their arms and money financed us for the three years they missed in WW2

And we paid them back...with interest, that took us half a century to repay them.

Because it was an American tune.  I don't see the problem tbh.

Music and dancing played a big morale factor in the war in this country and you bloody well know it.

Ignorant. Go away

Well no, it's true...no need to be rude.

Not being rude Vids - there's a lot more to America's contribution to WW2 than that. It was the allied war effort that won the war, not Britain alone. Just shush up now, before I pin this poppy on you - somewhere sore!!!

I agree with the fact that The Marshall Plan did us few favours

Evening! I've just said on FB that it was because of her awful dress!

yay!  someone who agrees - I can't remember who it was a few years back - think it was Ola and her partner, did a fabulous dance in a horrible outfit and went out.   It's not nice to watch if the costume isn't attractive imo.

Probably an homage to the Big Band sound of WW2 - Glen Miller?

That's fair enough, but I just found it a little off that our part in the war was ignored by the dancers and that theme.
