Looks to me like 'sour grapes' by a newcomer who can't be professional in the face of having a worse dancer, worse face and no gorgeous husband. SCD should tell her to sling her hook after Dave has finally run out of sympathy.

I agree Cologne

I'm not keen on the rumba for that reason.

The rumba is one of my favourite dances when it is done right.  We don't seem to get them like this any more sadly

Now that was much better than Abbey's dance (and the female dancer who's name fails me but she was in Hollyoaks is gorgeous).

I do find that large portions of the dance is "vogueing", but have to agree that was a very nice dance Squiggle.

Each to their own! I thought that was technical and 'cold' by comparison to Abby's!

I've just watched those Rumbas  - I remember loving Rachel and Vincent's at the time (I think I said so during the show), and watching it back, I still love it.  It flows, and it has shedloads of emotion.   I thought Ali and Brian's was OK just.  For me there was the slightest hint of 'ok... into the next pose now' - it didn't flow and there was no emotion (esp for an actress)    I thought Abby's was lovely - not quite Rachel standard, but second best.

supes - great point about Jill Halfpenny! (I didn't watch that series, but I've seen the famous jive)

Well at the time I wasn't aware about previous dance training - just presumed that everyone was a novice.  Back then, I used to watch the show for what it was.. a bit of pre-going out entertainment.

All I remember is Jill's jive being great fun and a cut above what anyone else had done up until then.

I wish they'd either drop the Rumba completely or save it for a quarter final dance by which time the dancers would (hopefully!) be good enough to attempt it.

Sometimes I wish that they'd ALL do the same dance on the same night; that way it might possibly sort out all the silly scoring AND save the right people.

I agree with that.
