Interesting article, Erin, thank you for posting.
Do I think Pamela is doing Strictly for a bit of self promotion? Hell, yes. But I also think each and everyone of the celebrities are doing the same. I absolutely adore watching Kara dance and I really hopes she wins. I also know (or believe) that she is doing Strictly to enhance her career in the same way that Jill Halfpenny went on to do Chicago as well as Claire Sweeney.
Scott and Matt are looking toward future career prospects too. Scott is probably thinking his character isn't going to last too much longer on Eastenders, and although Matt has success with the One Show and Countryfile, he did attend drama school and I suspect his love lies with something a bit more dramatic.

I was unaware about Matts backgound in Drama ,I do like him, more so than Scott.
I want Kara to win this , she is a vision to watch,I feel she has been constantly marked down.
I cant take to Pamela ,she does dance very well ,but I find her insincere.

Kara is brilliant and I feel she has been undermarked in nearly every dance. I would love it if she won and will probably vote for her in the final - I don't usually vote unless a dancer really moves me and have only voted once so far this series.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend shows. They promise to be amazing.

I always despise the scoring on SCD; it's over hyped and bears no logic when held up to comparisons. That said, this week I think the judges ramped it up excessively purely to get that Widdecombe horror out.
Craig had it right when he never gave her a higher mark than 3.
Bizarrely, Len threw her a 7 one week. For instance, Ann's Tango merited the same mark as Matt's Quickstep according to Len... and then he stuck to the middle ground along with Alesha and Bruno by averaging 6's and 5's.
Where can you go with that in regards to scoring?
What leeway does that leave for scoring the other dancers?
All those hard earned 8's and 9's mean little when a 7 is afforded to a non dancing so called participant.
PS. I don't like Matt..!

I do like Matt. He's my favourite. But I'm pleased to say Cosi, that I agree with every other word.

Karen Hardy said the same on ITT!
Here is a short clip of this week's training.
Among other things it shows Gareth flat hands (which will not please Craig.
It also shows that Scott does good basic Charleston swivels.

Double elimation this weekend so I expect it will be Pamela and Gavin that go. I do hope that Kara wins, she has been the most consistent and absolutely fantastic throughout.

I think Gavin and Scott will go this week.
I hate it when Scott shows off, pulling faces and pretending hes a bliddy Monkey in the training room. I wish someone would tell him he he doesn't have what it takes to pull off wearing that flat cap.

how not to do it
Having watched Strictly 2 all week, I have to say that IMO there seems to be an awful lot of emphasis on how wonderful Pamela is.....

am I the only one who thinks that James can't stand the fact that his wife Ola has won this competition and he hasn't???? I just feel he's very very competitive and can't stand his wife having 'one up on him' for want of a better phrase

I couldn't tell if that was good or not.... I couldn't see past the dreadful unflattering dress.

Hello strictly peoples.
Oops a stumble from Pam the Gran there....
Interesting dance, and gaga for paso is dreadful.

Pamela was looking a little bit lippy at the beginning, if you catch my drift. Revealed a little too much.
I adore Bad Romance, Pamela's probably been studying up on the Haus of Gaga or the Monsters.
I'm sure they'll mark her well, but I thought it was unexceptional.
Grrrr she flippin stumbled, and they ignore it....
Judges overmarking guarantees Pamela place in final?. I would love it if she does an Emma Bunton.
Darlo, Maths
pamela wasn't bad - criticism at last
Missed most of that. Mr Flyffy Thing decided that we just HAD to discuss how much mince was left in the pot!
