I've been looking at clips of Pamela again.
I am not convinced by her acting. I think her portrayal of gratitude and humbleness and heartfelt appreciation towards the judges and the viewers is unconvincing.
The more I watch, the more I see transparency and falseness.
(In my opinion of course.)
I see insincere hammy acting, - and I don't like it!

The new series, Goldie's Band – By Royal Appointment, for BBC Two, follows Goldie on a mission to discover young people whose talent and passion for music is at the centre of their lives.

After a personal nationwide search, 12 young musicians will be invited to a three-day residential where they will be mentored by a team of industry experts including composer Guy Chambers, jazz artist Soweto Kinch and singer/songwriter Cerys Matthews.

After undergoing intense training the group, aged between 17 and 24, will attempt to stage a thrilling concert for an audience of special guests, including Prince Harry, at Buckingham Palace. The nature of the set and the individual contributions of the musicians to the concert will be determined during their time at two residencies.

At the risk of being unpopular (again) I have to disagree about the negativity in regards to Pamela.  I'm really liking her - and the fact that she isn't a size zero, she isn't a "young 'un", and seems to be enjoying the experience.
Ooooh this appeared on my ticker!

I absolutely adore her, I didn't think I would, she has got such a natural talent, I expected a brashy trashy blonde who I would despise

Not so!  So very far from my expectation, It blew me away!  She has been magnificent every week, she is such a delight to watch, and her elegance surpasses the majority of them. She is pure class!

I wouldn't say I adored her, but I do think she's a good dancer.   Over-marked?  Maybe a little, but I think they ALL are at the moment - relatively speaking I think she deserved to be top of the leader board this week.

It's not her dancing which bugs me (although I do think she has been overmarked a bit, and I'm a bit wary of the fact that she has worked with Bruno and Craig.)
No it's the gushiness when she is showing her gratitude that looks so false and insincere and makes me want to vomit.
It's not the dancing, it's the "over-the-top" bad acting when she 'thanks' them.

first time I popped in here cos I can't watch properly and be online..  plus am scared I'll get a spoiler before Sunday's result show is put out and I hate spoilers..

anyway wondered if anyone knew why Brendan isn't dancing with thingy, the American singer, this week. .Sorry am rubbish at names if I don't see them day in day out I forget who they are..   but Claudia was interviewing her and Matt, I think it is,  yesterday about their Tango for this week..

Not liking the format this year... hate the results show . .what's the point of it really if the judges don't have a say nor do they dance again?  and hate them talking about 'Saturdays' show as if we don't already know they filmed the results after the lines close on the Saturday night  and no amount of pretending will make me believe they popped back for half an hour on Sunday for that rubbish.. I miss the old dancers too..  it seems to have lost some of it's perzazz  [not sure if that is the right word there]

Am loving Pam tho. .love her gracefulness and body lines and balance and musicality. .she seems to 'get' it. .love Matt as well.. oh and Jimmi too. .and Anne cracks me up.. she doesn't; take it seriously and neither does Anton [great pairing there]  so it makes it much more fun than when they tried the 'comedy'  dancer thing with John Sargeant. ...that was a disaster.  tho hope she doesn't usurp some of the better dancers at the later stages.glad Paul went too his comedy dance didn't cut the mustard at all. .now get rid of Gavin and I'll be happy.. he's dreadful and I cant; see why he's supposed to be some sort of heart throb either.. looks gormless like he's not all there half the time..

oops I only popped in to ask a question and got carried away on a rant.. sorry

Tina O'Brien returns to Strictly

"Tina O'Brien is back in rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing after doctors gave her health the all-clear. The actress was forced to miss last week's live show after she developed chickenpox.
She had been told she could miss one programme but if it was any more than that, bosses said she would have to leave the series.

A show spokeswoman said the former Coronation Street star was "fighting fit". She was cleared by a doctor on Tuesday and has resumed training with dance partner Jared Murillo.

They are working on a Charleston routine for the live edition of the BBC One show this weekend.

Tina said: "It is good to be back dancing, and I really want to catch up this week. I am a little tired, but I am so looking forward to Saturday when I will Charleston back to Strictly.""

Video clips showing rehearsals for tonight's programme.
I realise that we are only being shown a small part of each couples routine, but I notice that there are no foot swivels going on in the Charlkeston routines.
Footswivels are vital to the Charleston. They are all doing flatly placed feet - nobody is doing a swivel.  Judges won't like that.
However, as I said, we are only seeing a short excerpt, so maybe the finished routine has the swivels. (Swivelling left and right on the ball of the feet.)
