I ended up going out with family hence my disappearance. As for Alesha I disagreed with some of her marks but the other 3 are there to give critique, at least the celebs can feel better after her positive comments because it's an entertainment show not a professional dance competition.. much better than last series and Arlene isn't coming back.
As for bottom 2 spoiler
Paul and Ola out, whilst Michelle and Brendan will have to work more harder next week.
Week 4 is Tango and Charleston then.
I did like Pamela and James's dance but she irritates me with all that gushing.
I thought Matt was the best tonight, that guy from Eastenders looks really old/ I dolike the girl from Eastenders.
Loved Erin's blue but would rather it had been a dress than trousers.
Pamela surprised again - in a good way although she had the worse dress!
Loved Felicity's dress and was glad to see her in black shoes rather than those horrible nude ones. Anyone notice her heels were quite high too?
Scott was great - liked their outfits matching in with the song! Also Peter's blue tie looked great with Erin's blue - but what on earth was Brendan wearing? horrible brown that didn't seem to match Michelle's dress at all! It's amusing to see people on DS suggesting that the other judges don't like Alesha, if that was the case then why does Craig talk to her on Twitter and I saw her tweeting that she had dinner with Len and Bruno in LA.
What will be the effect of the viewers' vote?
Catching up on the dances I missed.. really enjoyed Scott's, he is fun and entertaining to watch plus he has a good personality to match. Also to go against the grain here (yet again) I like Michelle and Gavin.
It is being suggested on other forums that Pamela is being shown favouritism.
I don't know about that - but I think she has been a tad overmarked. (If you get suchg high marks so early, where do you go from there?)
I thought Kara and Artem looked a bit cumbersome and unelegant.
I think Michelle and Gavin convey nothing, because there is nothing to convey.
I can't stand Ann Widdecombe - both as a person and as a dancer.
Pointed toes
It's interesting that one of the first things you learn in ballet is to point your toes.
Yet on Strictly Come Dancing it has always been a common fault by the celebrities. I am surprised that the dance professionals do not stress the importance of pointed toes enough to their professionals - especially when kicking.
I noticed last night that Craig commented to Matt that he didn't point his toes enough on the kicks.
When Scott danced his kicks were even less pointed (feet at right-angles to his leg) and yet Craig did not mention this. Must be stretched ankles on kicks.
Screen captures of Matt (above) and Scott (below)
See what I mean? Matt pointing a bit. Scott not pointing at all.
I am also finding the music (and particularly the singing) much less annoying this year.
I can't be with you about Michelle and Gavin, but
I agree about Scott; he does project his personality well.
Enjoying Jimi and Flavia's partnership too, disappointed with his Rumba but he did all he can.
Pamela Stephenson works largely in the US doesn't she? California at that I believe so no wonder she's somewhat of a luvvie and gushy - and there's another American who seems very upset at the criticism. Too much heart on too much sleeve methinks. Are the judges less overtly critical on the US show?
Ann is a waste of time. Whereas I rather liked John Sergeant she makes my teeth itch with annoyance. I'm not saying older contestants can't hack it - look at Ms Kendal - but she's like a lump of lard being tossed about by that Mr Tosser himself. I'm not a fan of Anton either tbh.
As for Gavin - now there's a man keeping himself busy at the moment. I thought he was still in the Arctic? Gav is a little like David Beckham - very pretty to look abut best with his mouth shut.

The 34-year-old discovered that his father Eddie had lost a ten-year battle with leukaemia just hours before last night's programme, yet still took to the dancefloor with his celebrity partner Michelle Williams.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Cole has now opted to take time out from the show and this morning returned to his native New Zealand along with his wife and brother.
A friend of Cole explained: "Brendan is incredibly disciplined and always professional, so he went out on the dancefloor on Saturday night.
"He didnât tell any of the contestants, I think he was just in a state of shock. His father had been ill for quite a while, but Brendan is of course devastated."
A Strictly spokesperson added: "Brendan Cole's father has passed away and Brendan has gone back to New Zealand to be with his family.
"Michelle Williams will continue on Strictly Come Dancing and will be partnered with Ian Waite for this week's show until Brendan returns the following week. Our thoughts are with Brendan and his family."
Earlier this week, Anne Widdecombe announced that she would remain in the competition after the recent passing of her brother.
Cole previously saw his partner in the 2007 series, model and actress Kelly Brook, quit after her own father died of cancer during the show's run.
