A bit of an anti-climax after last night's preformances.
I am still amazed at Matt Baker's performance -wasn't expecting that at all. Ann Widdecome was mostly as I expected -a bit of an ox, no grace or elegance, but she did know the steps, even though she was ahead of the music most of the time. She gave it a go, but the thought of her doing a salsa next week gives me nightmares.
I thought Kara's performance was all right - even with the mistakes (and there were many). I don't think she will last long - even if she had given a fault free performance, she wouldn't last long.
It's always interesting for me to see how the public vote. Do they vote on the best dancers, the best entertainment value, the most fit, or a combination? John Sargenat stayed in for weeks as did Kate Garroway and they were rubbish dancers and I didn't think very entertaining.
Oh, and then there is that Tina bird. Pretty crap performance in her nightie. She will probably stay in for weeks.

Hey Supes x I vote for the ones that make me get lost in the dance. That's not always the most technically correct, but the ones whoare up there with the best, enjoy it, act it and have the best choreography, it all adds up - and they need to come over as having a nice personality too. If I can't warm to the dancer (Ali Bastian and Gabby Logan being prime examples for me - and Kara probably going the same way) I won't vote for them.
That said, I could never vote for the John Sargents or Ann Widdicombes even though I like them and like to see them dance for a week or two. Not the same for Paul Daniels (back to the personality aspect there!)
When I realise I've spent a minute and a half glued to the telly with my glass half way to my mouth, I realise I've probably found my winner.

"Former Strictly Come Dancing lovebirds Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna have ended their whirlwind romance.
Former Hollyoaks actress Ali, was overheard telling friends last week that it is all over with Brian.
Now a close friend of the pair has confirmed to The Mail: "The love affair is sadly all over. But Brian and Ali remain amicable and will continue to be friends".
While at The Red Room club in Mayfair, she said she was sad to lose Brian, but they had both realised the relationship had fizzled out.
Last year Ali and Brian were paired as dance partners on Strictly and within weeks of their professional relationship, rumours started flying of a personal one.
A week after they were controversially voted off Strictly, Ali and Brian confirmed they were an item.
Ali finished as a semi-finalist on Strictly and then joined her dance partner Brian and new boyfriend in Burn The Floor, a West End dance show, for two-and-a-half months this summer.
A friend has revealed: "She is off soon to a luxury retreat in Jamaica with some friends to mend her broken heart," now the two have separated."

"Dancing on Wheels" they called it. I enjoyed it. I was agreeably surprised at the quality, and it was also something of an education for me.
I also have a soft spot for that series for 2 other reasons:
1. You looked splendid throughout.
2. I had my first lessons (from you) in how to look good in the ballroom.
( I have saved the bermudas in a drawer for old times sake - just to prove how far I have progressed in my sartorial elegance.)
