All three finalists deserved to win, but I am very happy that it was Kara and Artem. Their chemistry made the difference, imho, but they were all good and Matt should maybe think of a change in career because he is a fantastic dancer.

Actually I LIKED Pam. She was never going to win obviously as Kara is in a soap of some sort and Matt is a TV presenter? Didn't have a clue who either were/are tbh but they seemed inoffensive enough.

^ Kara used to be in Eastenders, until she accidently let slip about Danielle Jones dying which they were trying to keep quiet but it was the actress' leaving party, so they got rid of her character.
This series has been great, however series 5 is still my favourite not just because Alesha won but Matt came close to beating her, Gethin should have been in the final if they would have made it 3. Letitia did great, Kelly could have made it to semi finals but understandably she quit due to her father's death. Gabby and Penny shock dance off due to not enough public support and Kate causing controversy then there was John Barnes and Kenny Logan who made me LOL.

I watched both programmes.
A few personal reflections.
I thought all the showdances were very disappointing.
Kara does, steps, moves, positions and poses, acrobatics in fact all that Artem asks of her, yet I still find I cannot warm to her. I am left unmoved emotionally.
It has always seemed to me that Artem's choreography comes more from the theatre than the ballroom. In fact there was an example tonight when Len (rightly in my opinion) commented on the lack of 'in hold' dancing in their American Smooth. But this has applied to much of their dancing. While it looks good and can be admired, it has always seemed to be to be more stagey than ballroom.
I was disappointed that Matt didn't win. I thought his Samba tonight was even better than the first time round. His whole demeanour was better. I also enjoyed his Paso and a repeat performance of his Viennese Waltz. He seemed more comfortable with every dance tonight. The quality of his dancing and his entertainment value has made him the best contestant throughout the series in my opinion.
He was also charming and gracious in his defeat.
A very enjoyable series.

I was gutted Matt didn't win, I voted for him about 50 times! The judges wound me up something crazy last night, I'm glad their scores didn't count for anything!
I'm pleased for kara though, she has been tremendous
It just never appeals me.
