Ha Ha me too she's really lovely, fun and pretty liked her from her time in Hollyoaks and see her in the Bill which she is leaving soon.. A bit of gossip Ali Bastian used to go out with her former co-star Kevin Sacre who is back in Hollyoaks as Jake Dean and is now engaged to Camilla Dallerup and is often seen in the SCD audience with her.
I have a feeling Craig will make it to Blackpool because he keeps going on about it and it's annoying me now that Bruce and co keep mentioning it. Craig has tried so hard but I really do think it's time for him to go but if he's through on the vote fair and square thats fine by me.
They make a great dancing partnership.
I wish they'd stop talking about Blackpool; I'm a bit bored with it.
, always make me take notice but the original pro's don't have that effect on me, they're very talented. I'm taken in by their fun and charisma and outgoing personalities plus they can move and are really nice.
Strictly Come Dancing star Craig Kelly: Just making it to Blackpool showdown will be big achievement for me
Oct 30 2009 By Rick Fulton
STRICTLY Come Dancing underdog Craig Kelly wants to wear a kilt on the show to drum up support from Scotland.
The actor, who played knicker factory boss Luke Strong in Coronation Street, is half Scots on his mum's side and with the judges slating his performances, he is hoping flying the tartan flag will get him more votes tomorrow night.
Two years ago, rugby legend Kenny Logan wore a kilt on the show and Craig, whose mum comes from Glasgow, is hoping to follow in his footsteps.
He said: "I'm trying to work out what dance I could wear a kilt on. Hopefully, if I stay in, I can wear one.
"But would I wear underpants?" Craig has had a disastrous two weeks on the show which saw him in the bottom two and only saved by the public vote.
He's seen off Lynda Bellingham and Richard Dunwoody in two dance-offs but the judges have turned on him - and if he's back in the bottom two he is unlikely to be saved again.
Last Saturday, judge Craig Revel Horwood described his efforts as "stiff" and "awkward" and he has also been likened to Humpty Dumpty by fellow judge Bruno Tonioli.
Tomorrow, Craig celebrates his 39th birthday and is hoping the judges will lay off him - because he's dancing a waltz and reckons it could be his best dance yet.
He laughed: "After some of the comments I think the least the judges could do is bake me a birthday cake.
"And if they are looking for a birthday present - letting me through to dance in Blackpool next Saturday will do."
He just shrugs offthe judges' comments as he knows it's just a television show. When it's pointed out that it beats eating a kangaroo testicle on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, Craig is not so sure.
"That would probably be easier," he joked.
Craig and his professional dance partner Flavia Cacace are desperate to stay in another week to take part in the November 7 show, which will be staged at Blackpool's famous Tower Ballroom, as he grew up just down the road in Lytham St Annes.
He said: "I'm the underdog of the show. Some people think I'm being undermarked.
"I don't think I'm a bad dancer. I might not be a natural dancer but I work incredibly hard.
"Now it's up to me to show how good I can be on the show. You can change people's opinion in one dance."
That dance, Craig thinks, is tomorrow's waltz.
The actor admits he prefers the ballroom dances to the Latin ones.
He said: "Latin is scary because you are on your own more. I feel like I've got my best chance to do my best dance tomorrow."
He is also hoping the spirit of his Scots granny will be looking over him and giving him some of the family flair at the waltz.
It was his Grandma Lennox, from Bridgeton in Glasgow, who gave him the desire to do the show in the first place.
When the actor, who played Daniel Perryman in Casualty and starred in gay drama Queer as Folk, was first approached to do Strictly, he admits he wasn't sure.
But his mum, who was brought up in Dennistoun, reminded him his gran, who died 10 years ago, was a keen ballroom dancer.
"That swung it for me," insisted Craig. "I thought 'It must be in the genes, surely I'd be good at ballroom too.' I think she'd be proud of what I've been doing.
"My grandma was a real diamond. A real character who was always smiling, and lived until she was 96.
"I have always seen myself as half Scottish and still have uncles, aunties and cousins in Scotland."
Craig says his wife Camilla has been a tower of strength.
He said: "She takes all the blows with me. She knows how much I'm putting into it. She's really proud I've got this far."
Craig has put his acting career on hold during Strictly.
Corrie have left the door open and ITV will be screening his next role in series Collision, although it's won't be screened on STV.
But what he wants most of all is to dance in Blackpool.
He added: "I don't see myself as the winner so this would be like a final for me."
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One at 7.15pm tomorrow.
I have a feeling it could backfire on them. Too much emphasis on Blackpool in my opinion will bore people.
I'm fed up of hearing about Blackpool now, no doubt they will keep mentioning it tomorrow.
Tonight on ITT: Phil & Katya, Ricky W & Natalie, Len & Craig on the Friday Panel, and Strictly's SCARIEST moments! Booooo!
Happy Birthday to Strictly pro dancer Matthew Cutler! Many happy returns.
I'm warming to Len more.
He should judge what they are doing and he is just worrying about what he thinks they should be doing.
Well if he's that fussy why doesn't he do the Choreography instead?
He's going to ruin the show with his moaning and make the dances less exciting and he is losing the dances points when he shouldn't be.
My problem with Len has always been that he has been so miserable at times it must be the jetlag, also he has this shocked look when anyone dares to disagree like he thinks he's head judge so his opinion only counts. The celebs and pros do have more things to worry about but Len has his expectations of them and he has been very fair plus constructive in his marking. He's a nice man though and I had to lol when he took out some pickled walnuts that he had hidden under thejudges table.
I am wondering if he wants to stamp his foot on the show more.
I noticed him on a couple of the US shows, he was very miserable.
I don't think they should be allowed to do all these different shows at the same time.
It might keep the bank manager happy but think as far as the show goes it stinks.
You just can't do it.
Also the gobby enders bint looked dreadful in training, I have never seen such a terrible flatfooted stompy bit of jiving as her efforts in training.
Strictly Come Dancing: Jade Johnson & Ian Waite In Car Crash
October 31st, 2009 by Lisa McGarry.
Strictly Come Dancers, Jade Johnson and Ian Waite were involved in a car crash yesterday. The pair were traveling to the rehearsal studios when the two car collision occurred.
A source on the BBC1 show told The Sun: âIan and Jade were quite shaken up. They were saying, âOh my God, weâve just crashed.
âBut once they realised it wasnât too serious they were fine and got on with training when they reached the BBCâs Television Centre in west London.
âThey think it might have happened when the car went over a boulder in the road.â
I am so hoping for Craig Kelly to go tonight.

FANS' FURY AT ALESHA SNUB
ABOVE: Alesha upset fans
WEâVE not had any celebrities acting like divas in Gossfor a while.
However, step forward Alesha Dixon. The leggy pop star upset fans when she gave them the royal brush-off at a gig in Liverpool.
The ex-Mis-Teeq warbler, 31, refused to meet fans, even though some had waited seven hours.
Acting like a diva, Alesha asked to be taken through a secret back door to avoid chatting to faithful followers.
One fan who waited in the cold at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall told us: âIâm so gutted. I canât believe she snubbed us, itâs so rude.
âIâd waited for hours to meet her and get an autograph.â
Most artists who do gigs at the city centre venue enter through the normal stage door and stop for a quick hello and autographs.
But the Strictly Come Dancing judge had other ideas. A member of the security team told us: âCelebs and artists always go through the main door and happily meet and greet fans.
âBut Alesha asked us to open a secret door around the back so she could sneak in.
âIt did seem like an unnecessary request. She must have been having a bad day.â
Yeah maybe, or perhaps sheâs just getting a bit too big for her boots.
Another fan said: âSheâs obviously not bothered about her fans now sheâs on a big TV show. We were really disappointed.â
The singer also asked Liverpool Wellbeing Centre to send two masseuses and strew candles and rose petals around backstage.
But she did give them a signed photo to hang in the clinic.
leshaâs people were unavailable for comment last night.
I don't know if thats true about Alesha as i've read some reviews from people who've been to her tour and said she's been lovely and had plenty of time for her fans, she seems very down to earth to me, although I am very bias. It is a busy time though so very time restricting.
And as for the praise for Craig and Jo for trying, from the judges and Claudia...Didn't John Sargeant 'try' last year? He lost tonnes of weight, rehearsed as much as he could, granted he wasn't very good, but neither is Craig and all John got was insults!
I'm glad I've got that off my chest now
O/T I`m sure I heard that the new series of Spooks starts on Wednesday, hurrah!!
Ooh I like Tess' dress. Brendan in the audience.
