So the Arlene row is rumbling on... well my opinion is that I think she made it very obvious she had favourite celebrities and last year some of her comments made my toes curl. Alesha I do like, but I would have loved to see Karen or Camilla on the panel alongside her, Karen especially as she really knows what she is talking about and as a professional dancer she has won the competition, I used to love watching Karen dance, so enthusiastic.

With all the arguments and Brucie's total decline this year, I'm getting as I can't be bothered to watch, which is a shame because I love the glam and glitter on a Saturday night.

Yes, about Pam.  If she wanted to make the commitment to do a series, that would be fine.  But to just do one show, is just wrong.

They might as well get Jordan to do the same thing.

Karen is brill and so lovely, she would be fantastic as a judge but on ITT she gets more time to go deeper and say what she really thinks then the celebs can work on her points in the time they have left before the main show plus she's busy running her dance school. Camilla is organising her wedding to Kevin Sacre who's back in Hollyoaks as Jake Dean, who is often in the SCD audience with her and she is busy with other projects.

Maybe the BBC should ask, they might have did or the pair of them have no interest in it at all but who knows. I do think that the Beeb will stick by Alesha and bring her back next year, right or wrong? but theres been changes every year which most hate change.

I'm not so fussed about the changes and was more than happy to see the back of Arlene.  Alesha is doing much better than I originally thought she would - when she sticks to offering advice.  Her comment to Laila about looking like a drunken rag doll was not very constructive.

I'm an Aquarius so I embrace change, but at the same time if something isn't broke, it doesn't need fixing!

Oh dear that made me cringe, didn't like that comment.

I got to cut down on my large posts, must be a nightmare having to read all of that.

I don't mind. Maybe it's because I have been known to waffle on a bit!
, waffling is quite cool. I got an idea you know those funny stories threads that you did while BB was on you should do one for SCD, think it would be hilarious.

Jordan wouldn't bring the crowds, she has sunk to an all low these days, but Pammy has always been a crowd pleaser, and is a lot more famous.

Strictly Come Dancing Elimination Odds Headed By Craig Kelly
Friday 23 October 2009 at 12:30
Strictly Come Dancing Next OutThe field in Strictly Come Dancing is starting to thin down now with five of the celebrities already eliminated and the competition to stay in the show continues to be intense this week with the bookies predicting a close call between Craig Kelly and Jo Wood.

End Of The Road For Street Star?

Coronation Street star Craig Kelly was relieved to escape the pressure of the dance off last week but may not be so lucky on Saturday as he and his partner Flavia Cacace attempt a samba. Craig has had problems in previous weeks with the Latin dances so he will do well not to be in the bottom two. Coral are one of the few firms who go odds against Craig leaving this week and they are an industry best price of 5/4.

Public Likely To Save ‘Skippy’ Yet Again

Jo Wood could win the sympathy of the voting public this week after having her skills likened to a ‘bush kangaroo’ by judge Craig Revel Horwood last week. Wood’s partner Brendan Cole stormed off in disgust at the remark before the other judges had a chance to offer their comments so there could be an edge to this week’s show that could work in Jo Wood’s favour. Betfred make Wood the 5/2 second favourite to leave Strictly Come Dancing this week.

Elimination Shock Hard To See

A shock elimination does not look likely this week as if either of the above celebrities are in the dance off it would be hard to see the judges eliminating anyone else. If there was to be a shock perhaps it could be Zoe Lucker or Laila Rouass.

Another Stressful Night For Zoe?

Zoe Lucker has been one of the judges’ favourites throughout the show but this didn’t stop her dropping into the dance off last week and she seems not to have caught the publics’ imagination. Another appearance in the bottom two is not out of the question and if you fancy Zoe to leave SCD then her odds are 20/1 with Bet365 and Skybet.

Does Laila Wish She Had Drawn A Different Partner?

Laila Rouass has been in the public spotlight for all the wrong reasons in the last couple of weeks and the tension started to show on last weeks’ show when her jive was very poor. This was in complete contrast to some of her earlier dances and it remains to be seen how her and her partner Anton Du Beke have fared in training this week. Laila is 25/1 to be eliminated this week with Boylesports and Stan James.

I'm not worried about Chris and Ola's odds now they do have the support to get them safe but you never know. Hoping Craig goes this week he bores me but nice guy.

Pam Anderson does seem lovely from what i've seen of her in interviews, she still has it though with her sexiness.

Sorry my lovely but I don't agree, I think Pammy is beginning to look a bit rough around the edges and the stripping off at the drop of a hat has got to stop.Bit unseemingly I think. (Just my opinion)

Does anyone know which dancers are doing which dance?
Sorry Suzi I don't know. On another note because I don't know how to email you personally ( I'm rubbish at forums, this is the only one I'm one) I was wondering how you are doing, health wise. I don't know you from Adam and hope I am not being forward but I always think of you when anything pertaing to Renal problems are discussed on the radio and in the media, and genuinely hope life isn't being too rotten at the mo.

That's very kind of you!

I tend to post that stuff on my blog as I feel it has to be bloody boring for everyone to read!   I'm not doing too bad (touch wood).  I've been taken off the steroids and immunosuppresants and my dialysis time has been reduced to 3 hour sessions, 3 times a week.  If I'm careful with my fluid intake and my diet I will be able to stay on the 3 hour sessions.

I'm supposed to see my consultant next month and if my bloods are still good, I'm hoping to start testing for a transplant.

Thanks darlo - I was trying to write something and it was really hard!  I usually take the mick with the BB stuff because I usually don't like any of the housemates, so it's easy.  When trying to do the same for something I really love, it's a whole different kettle of fish.

I'll keep thinking, though.

Thanks Darlo, I know I will.  And if I'm not, there isn't much I can do that I'm not already doing.

The one thing that helps me more than anything is being able to laugh - at myself and the absurdities of life in general.  It's amazing how better I feel after a good belly laugh.
FM

Being able to laugh at yourself is fun, shows you don't take yourself very seriously but compassion is a good trait to have. Laughter is funny as it puts you in a happy mood and defeats negativity every time.

Ricky and Natalie Samba tomorrow can't wait, lovely as usual.

VT about American Smooth and Samba, grrr at Kelly Brook's American Smooth, can't believe Bruno gave her a 10 when it clearly was against the rules due to her feet being off the floor.

I am still very surprised that Jo Wood has escaped the dance-offs. I think she has been very poor.
If the public vote enough, they stay in, the dancing doesn't come in to it.

Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly is the new face of La Senza

Tess

Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly's got the cane but is still a little under-dressed for tonight's show.

But she does look hot to trot for her new role - as the face and body of La Senza's festive lingerie.

The 38-year-old mum of two will be on billboards all over Britain.

This is out of another paper.

Why is Tess in her underwear? Thought she was mortified when her hubby posted photos of her on his twitter page... Jesus, hope Brucie doesn't follow suit.
She's probably being paid a mighty big cheque by La Senza, and like most of us, would do virtually anything for that.

And her body is OK so she has been given the opportunity to show it off and get paid for it.

Strictly chiefs ban hairspray backstage

BARMY BBC health and safety officers have banned Strictly Come Dancing stars from using their hairspray backstage - in case the fumes make them ill.

Jade

Jade ... fumes hit her

Girl contestants like Zoe Lucker, Laila Rouass and Ali Bastian need lacquer to keep their hair in place during energetic routines.

They get through cans of the aerosol every week.

But health chiefs stepped in after Jade Johnson accidentally inhaled fumes before last Saturday's show.

The Olympic long jumper, 29, was seen retching into a bin at the studio.

Jade was fine later but the incident made interfering safety busybodies step in.

The ban has left celeb dancers and their partners furious.

They now have to stand shivering in their skimpy outfits to have their hair set in the courtyard of the BBC Television Centre in West London.

An insider said: "Jade nearly choked and health and safety have banned hairspray backstage. But it's ridiculous to make them all troop out into the cold." Another source added: "Things are really tight backstage before the show and sending the dancers outside to do their hair just wastes time."

The show's tight timings nearly saw professional dancer Ola Jordan slip up last week.

The sexy Pole did not have enough time between costume changes - and nearly appeared on stage revealing more than she anticipated.

A source explained: "Quick dress changes are becoming more difficult this series because the costumes are so elaborate, "Ola just escaped a wardrobe malfunction after nearly coming on stage half-dressed.

"Having to muck about doing their hair outside will just make things worse."

----------------
I don't think they should be able to use those sprays anyway.
1) The are highly inflammable.
2) If some people breath in the fumes they are ill.

They shouldn't be used in an enclosed space anyway.

My O/H had to change from spray deodorants to roll on as I couldn't breath after she used the spray.

That's my husband's favourite part!

I got my own back last year when Mark Foster wore that fishnet shirt.  I made a comment that he looked brilliant and hubby said, "His dancing was rubbish!"  So, I pipe up with, "Oh.  Was he dancing?  I hadn't noticed!"
