An unanswerable question I know, but I would still rather keep the ones who perform on the day over those who do not.
Well with the exception of Ali of course, if she had an off day she would still have to stay for being sex on legs!
I like Ali of course, but would you want her to stay if she did end up in the dance off against a couple who dance better on the night and an off night for her based on the fact she is eye candy?. I know the answer will be yes anyway but still asking.
Seriously tho, no, if she was the worst on the night and then the worst in the dance off, then she would have to go, no matter how hot she is.
Well Ali has quit the Bill now and has more time to practise and rehearse, where as some of the others obviously have jobs and manage to slot in time in a busy schedule. She has an advantage in that aspect but doesn't mean nothing, I think at the mo i'm backing Ricky W and Ali as my top two favs, with Laila and Chris also impressing me.
Dunwoody âto fall at first hurdleâ in Strictly Come Dancing
By Maureen Coleman
Saturday, 26 September 2009
Retired jockey Richard Dunwoody is the bookiesâ favourite to fall at the first fence this weekend in Strictly Come Dancing.
According to Betfair, the three times champion jockey from Co Down is the most likely contender among the second batch of dancers to be thrown from the saddle, with odds of 6-4.
Jo Wood and partner Brendan Cole are the closest couple in danger at 5-2.
Ricky Whittle, who spent most of his teens living in Northern Ireland, is the favourite to win at 5-2.
Betfair spokesman Michael Robb said: âDunwoody is the current favourite to go but the betting suggests itâs not clear cut. It does, however, look like itâs one of either him or Jo Wood.â
The odds might see him in a precarious position, but Dunwoody is hoping to prove the punters wrong by fitting in some extra bonding time with dance partner Lilia Kopylova. Dunwoody has turned the tables on his Strictly co-star by introducing her to his way of life.
The sportsman has reversed the roles by bringing Lilia out and teaching her how to ride a horse.
The pair were spotted enjoying the countryside at Wimbledon Village Stables in London last week, where they embarked on a cross-country trek by horseback. Dunwoody is the first jockey to foxtrot across the Strictly dancefloor and is hoping that â with the luck of the Irish â he will make it all the way to the final.
He said: âThe one great thing about this show is that you are learning a new skill, which really sets it apart from many other shows on TV.â
I loved Natalie and Vincent. BUT she does need to stop banging on about how she can't believe she is on SCD, people will get sick of that.
Craig Kelly was my least fave performance. I thought he was terrible.
Phil Tuffnell very nice, lovely graceful waltz.
Laila - WOW, she is just FABULOUS. Bet Anton is thrilled beyond belief.
Zoe Lucker, thought the dance was safe but boring
Richard Dunwoody, so nervous, not brilliant but I found him & Lilia's dance endearing
Ricky, very good. Almost a cert for the final if he keeps this up.
Jo Wood, bless but think her and Richard will be in the dance off although I think Craig Kelly was worse than Richard.
Looking forward to this evening.
I think Alesha was much better last night than last week. She didn't try to "judge", which I still feel she is not in a position to do, but gave positive critiques about what she did when the judges said the same kinds of things to her.
Anyone here likes Brendan Cole?
Strictly Come Dancing Judge Vows To Punch Alesha Dixon
IN âMY War With Aleshaâ â Craig Revels-Horny (the erect chocolate coated orange) tells of his Strictly Come Dancing arms race.
The Mirrorâs headline promises much, looking to pile more misery on Alesha Dixon, this yearâs John Sergeant. But reading on we get:
Furious Craig Revel Horwood has threatened to wallop fellow Strictly judges Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli if they do not shut up and let him speak.
Revels Horny is going to punch Dixon? Best make it look like a flailing arm in a frenzied cha-cha-cha, RH, lest you be accused of woman beating and hauled before the Celebrity Police Force.
As for Bruno Tonioli, well you can beat him, you can punch him and you can take away his shiny knickers but you can never make the BBCâs comedy foreigner simper any more than he already does. Says RH:
âI would like to slap them both. Thatâs my intention come this weekend. If they start rabbiting on I am going to put a stop to that.â
Strictly Come Dancing really is strict. How Max Mosley must wish heâd have singed up for the show.
I did hear that the reason why Darcey Bussell is coming in the quarter finals is because she had other plans so couldn't commit from the start and was only available from that point, or the BBC had her planned for that week?. Also Craig Revel Horwood is meant to be doing panto (using my BBC site membership to my advantage), so could replace him from there perhaps?.

PMSL, Craig is a softie really although I understand he must be annoyed when the others speak over him fair enough Bruno and Alesha are loud, but Len also speaks over if there is something he disagrees with and at times only thinks his opinion counts but Craig is so honest he's the best judge there to me.
The thing is though Craig lets them have their say and doesn't try to interrupt and waits to speak if there is something he disagrees with but sometimes has to shout to make it clear, so they should have the same curtesy and don't interrupt Craig when he speaks.
Brendan has matured lots, he's calmed down and is focused on the dancing he still has the fiery side to him but he is more supportive to his partners now his fiancee Zoe certainly has tamed the bad boy of SCD, loved Lisa dancing with him last year I wanted them to win but at least they got to the final.
On ITT yesterday, Claudia showed a bit where they were building the set. They said they had to make the judges table bigger so that all five judges would fit. Sounds like Craig will be there to the bitter end.
If Craig is doing panto, he will probably have an understudy to fill in on the Saturday nights while SCD is being shown.
Shame about Ricky slipping last night. It's happened before because the floor is slick and the soles of the shoes are slick. His partner should have shown him how to rough the soles of his shoes.
I'm looking forward to the dances tonight, although the rumba is not one of my favourites. Too much posturing and posing and not enough dancing (Do I sound like Len? )
Some of Craig's comments can come across as mean or rude but he isn't, he's just trying to be constructive although he has to be harsh in order to try and get an improvement but on ITT he's very different and is so much fun. Shame about Ricky W slipping but he can work on that problem with the soles of the shoes as they must be slippy.
Ha Ha you do sound like Len Suzi, Ricky is doing the Rumba.
Eight celebrities performed their first ballroom dance on the Friday show, and now they are let loose on the Latin, performing either a Cha Cha Cha or a Rumba as their second competitive dance.
The two couples with the lowest combined judges' scores and viewer votes will face the dance off, where their fate lies in the hands of the judges; who will be taking to the floor next time, and who will leave the competition for good?
And in exclusive behind-the-scenes footage after the Friday night show, find out how the celebrities felt about their dancing debut.
Plus a preview of the next round's dances.
Maggie xx
So unless Jo, Richard & Craig pull something out of the bag then expect them at the bottom again.
I must say, I didn't expect Phil to do that well.
Darlo, Richard can't go tonight because then I won't get to see Lilia dance again. I'm not ashamed to admit that I shed a wee tear last week when Matthew Cutler was given his marching orders - I'll be demented if Lilia goes. Both my fave dancers, along with Flavia!
Just re-read what I've written and I sound like a right nutter- but I just LOVE Striclty CD. My hubby gets great delight in winding me up about it!
Botlle of white chilling as we speak! Roll on 7.30.
Zoe Lucker: I almost quit Strictly Come Dancing
Zoe's fiancÃĐ stopped her leaving the hit show
Saturday, 26 September 2009
ZÃķe Lucker nearlhy quit before the first night of Strictly Come Dancing last week.
The actress was so crippled by nerves in rehearsals that she thought she'd have to pull out before the show went on air.
Instead, thanks to pep talks from her fiancÃĐ, ZÃķe she soldiered on to take part in last Friday's group dance, although she's dreading having to perform solo for the first time tonight.
âThe real fear is starting to sink in,' ZÃķe, 35, exclusively tells Now. âI'm way out of my comfort zone and it's taking me for ever to learn the dance steps. I'll even wake up at 3am thinking: "What comes next?"'
ZÃķe confesses that her fiancÃĐ James Herbert is the reason she's still in the competition.
âI couldn't have done it without him,' she smiles. âFor the first week or so I was coming home saying: "I can't do this!" and he'd reassure me that as long as I did my best, that was all that mattered.'
It's ZÃķe's first job since giving birth to Lilly a year ago, so she's juggling motherhood as well as her dance steps.
But the training has already paid off. âMy legs are stronger and I've changed shape,' she admits.
âI know Rachel Stevens went down two dress sizes, so if I stay in that long it may be inevitable!'

By Liam Santiago: I feel for Joe Calzaghe. He must be so embarrassed. His performances on strictly come dancing have been awful. The guy is moving around the dance floor like a fork lift truck.
Sorry, correction. I feel more sorry for his dance partner. Her toes must be in agony. The Welsh man seems to have carried none of his boxing footwork into the dance game!
Maybe Calzaghe should think about a ring return and face some of the fighterâs that have have been waiting for him for years. Carl Froch, Kelly Pavlik, Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright, I could go on and on. Even in his last performance against Roy Jones I was so surprised that Jones did not seem to want to fight back, or push on after the knock down? Strange?
Evenening all
Hi Kaffy! Thought Phil did well but Len doesn't! I enjoyed it
Not feeling this rumba - I was almost laughing at times.
Raunchy Rumba by Craig and Flavia, good performance.
