the first one making jokes about monks will be evicted from this  fred, forwith.

anyways, i was watching tv and the music  is always louder than the show, so i reach for the remote and turn the sound down and then back up again when  it stops.

thats annoying in itself, but it's not the strange habit i have.

i always have to have  the sound set on an even number on the scale, and if i notice it's on an odd number i reach for the remote  again and make it even...

i have no idea why i do this, so far i have resisted the urge to interfere with  friends tv's when  we go visiting, but it's only a matter of time i'm sure..

Left side of the sofa is my spot too Baz. I get really gnarly when anyone sits there. I don't think it's strange though

ahh  so the even numbers isn't odd at all then, we all do it!

i'm with  on the toilet roll issue sweet, i don't  turn other people's around tho, because when it's around the wrong way, it makes me feel slightly more superior  towards the hosts.

you are bordeline ocd, rawks.

i do the  sound thing on commercial breaks too, bliz.

You are spot on in my case jacksonb...... and TBH I had never considered that point.... maybe I am not as strange as I thought.... *don't answer that*

I went away recently and phoned home, only to be told, step by step, by Mr Blizz, how he was stacking the dishwasher, really BADLY!!!!

Ah Blizz, it messes up your break away, doesn't it? I try not to think about it too much when I'm away from home.

OMG Baz. That's spooky, neither do I. Well I didn't until I broke my left leg and trained my brain to recognise the twinge came from the left side

I'm the same with toilet roll ............also hate it if the two layers are out of sync (if you know what I mean) it's easy to fix and I will also correct that at other peoples houses too.

Don't do it in public loos though - I really try to avoid them and if I have to use them I'm in and out as fast as possible!

Soozy Woo

Same as a few others, have to have the left hand seat on the sofa.  In fact I have to have the 2 seater sofe to myself.  I hate having people sit beside me, it's ok if it's one of the kids but not for any length of time

Bedtime....I have to get into bad facing away from my OH and towards the wall.  Then after maybe 10 minutes I'll turn towards him then another few minutes later onto my belly and that's when I fall asleep.

I'm a bit obsessive about my curtains and vertical blinds.  The verticals have to be open to a certain point and slanted slightly away from the door.  Don't even go near my curtains or I will crack up.  They fall in a certain way and they just don't look right if anyone has moved them even a little.

I always leave my favourite part of a dish til last which is a very bad habit.  I'll eat the parts I am not fussed on first then eat the nice part and then finally have the best part last which always means I eat nearly everything that's on my plate......not good

Oh and I can't stand background noise.  If my OH is listening to the footy with his headphones in and I can hear it, it drives me insane!  If there's a TV on in another part of the house and I hear it I have to go turn it down or off and once I'm in bed everything has to be silent.

Apart from that?  Perfectly normal

Ells

I'm like Cosi.. no strange habits whatsoever - don't get jittery when things are offcentre, not symmetrical, messy etc... it's not true that I can't eat a sandwich if the filling isn't the same thickness all over, I don't have to open a new carton of milk if it's for cereal, I don't have to separate certain items of food on my plate.    Honest

life gets so complex..

I can't sleep (like Ells has said) facing the husband.  And I always have to sleep on his left.  It's not complex - it's just how it's gotta be unless you want WWIII

Ooooh no!  Gotta do opposite end swapsies on a weekly basis.

I've no idea why though

I have to stop reading this thread - I have no room in my life for more crap like this.

I do the Soozy loo roll thing (I had a loo roll this week that was unsynchronised no matter what I did - can you imagine how annoying that was!)   and I sit on the left hand side of the sofa... I don't understand all you even number freaks though....
