I dunno what they will be like now...    but I loved them back in the day!

I WAS AT SPIKE ISLAND!!!  I WAS THERE!!!!    It was bloody amazing!     I love their first 2 albums ..

Loved the Happy Mondays & Black Grape too, saw them live loads of times, though I have to say, having seen them many times in full partying styley , I then saw them stone cold sober & straight as I was 6 months pregnant, and they sounded a leetle bit shitter than I remembered

anyways...  back to The Stone Roses...     the moment Mani left to join Primal Scream you just knew it was all over

shame Ian Browns ego didn't realise it

Yep... and I shall be there on Saturday, I don't think they were really a great live band from what i've heard, but i'm glad i'll finally get to see them as I wasn't even alive when they seemed to be at their peak Shame I missed out on so many bands... The Smiths, Stone Roses, U2, Oasis etc. etc.

I would kill to have been around then.

Difficult to call which is my favourite song  though. I am the resurrection, Made of stone, She bangs the drums, waterfall, fools gold, sally cinnamon etc. I would probably go with "This Is The One" though, it sounds great here when they played it donkeys years ago...  not such great quality.

Happy Mondays were the better band though!

Agreed, IB has produced many more songs I like than the Roses. In fact I think I like just two Roses tunes. Found most of them instantly forgettable.

Dire 80's you have to be joking. That was the last great decade in music. It's been downhill ever since.

Lol

Not if you like music it weren't
