Dogface could well be the housemate having the most fun in there at the moment! Given her tears early on, she has settled down well and come across as one of the nicer contestants so far.
However, I don’t see a way that she can achieve longevity as a housemate; all the pointers suggest her stay will be relatively short, and this is a shame. Given that she does seem to get along with most of her fellow housemates, pairing off with Kris, at this time, would be a massive error of judgment.
I cannot see many strong or likable female housemates; Dogface is not too far down the pecking order with regard to being the most likable, surely? I believe either Noirin or Karly will go all the way to the finale – but I would rather it were Dogface!
My hope for nominations next week is that the more argumentative and disagreeable housemates will be facing the public vote. But I fear that Dogface may prove a soft option for some of the female housemates, when they come to cast their respective votes. Everybody wants attention, but not everybody gets it – the departure of Dogface would almost certainly ensure that some get more than is currently on offer to them. It’s dog eat dog, right?
If she keeps out of conflict and remains relatively quiet she will be perceived as a bore. If she enjoys herself and continues to play with Kris and the other lads she will be perceived as a flirt, and fake. Regardless, I have enjoyed watching her progress over the past week and want to see a lot more. Whether I am in a minority – only time will tell. Sadly, having followed 6 series of Big Brother, I do believe that the first time Dogface is up for the public vote, she will be gone, and that will be a pity.
