I hate tattoos anyway, but seriously, what kind of man covers his entire body (well as much of it that's visible) in tattoos? Is he saying look at me I'm just so tough you better believe it or does he actually think it's a good look?

It looks horrible to me. Footballers also now seem to have got it into their heads that covering their arms in tattoos is some kind of way forward but hey, footballers are allowed, we all know they're all thick. What's your excuse Steve?

I'm not overly fond of tattoos. I feel it spoils the over-all look of a ballgown or cocktail dress when you have 'Mum' tattooed on your upper arm.
I quite like subtle ones, hidden on backs, that are visible in the summer months or on a beach.
I hate when women tattoo something on their cleavage (like Eve the rapper who has paw prints on her chestickle area) Urgh!

Re women with tats, I dont like 'tramp stamps' or Chinese writing (which has just become over popular and probably doesn't even say 'Peace' or 'Faith', more like '2 bags of spuds from Tescos')

I do like Arabic and ancient sanskrit - I've got a couple I'm working on getting done but I don't want the nature of the tats to be obvious. Each to their own I guess. But I do like body art and see what people have had done and why they had it done.

My step-daughter has loads of them, her latest piercing is 2 studs in the back of her neck But the mad thing is all the stuff she's had done looks cool!

I'd quite like something in Arabic, dunno what though I'd also quite like a Phoenix

It's beautiful isn't it, Urdu writing is too. My mate has 'God protect my son' written in arabic above her ankle, it looks cool but I wasn't sure of where she had it done
I had this tattooed on my lower back about 3 weeks ago...

No one will ever see it except me squirming in the mirror and the kids if I'm prancing about in my bra and pants.

I have to ask.. why did you have it done then? Or was it just for you if you see what I mean?
Yes ... just for me. I wanted some permanent mark of Cariad if that makes sense? Especially as BB was ending - when I joined back in 2003 it was at a very tough time for me and GGBF and Cariad were a lifeline in many way.

It couldn't be anywhere obvious because of my job but having it somewhere generally visible wasn't the issue anyway.

Good for you!

My best friend has just had one done on the top of her thigh. Only her OH can see it but she just likes to know it is there.

Aww.... that's understandable.

Maybe we should organise a whole forum trip to go and get our usernames tattooed!
