I was reading this on DS. I know The Sun isnt the most reliable source but it is abit extreme to publish something like that and actually be false.

Why would he be turned down if he's on a legitimate course, supporting himself, and paying international tuition fees? Universities are gagging for people like him. Doesn't ring true to me.

I didn't want you to tell me to go check all the university websites, I wanted you to give me PROOF or evidence, that overseas students pay SEVEN TIMES more than UK students. I have never heard of this before.

In fact, I have actually looked at three universities in the time I have been sat here, (can't be bothered to look at more,) and according to what I can see, they pay approximately twice, and up to three times more. So if the course fees are £3000 a year, they pay £8,000 to £9,000. And IMO, it's only fair that they pay more.

So although you seem to be right that they pay more, (which I was not aware of,) it is not seven times more. Maybe it is at your uni, but not at the ones I looked at. Maybe you can provide a link of the ones that charge SEVEN times more. And as I said, it's only fair that they pay more.

I do agree that they should pay a bit more. However there is no cap on the upper limit of what Universities can charge overseas students, so in theory they can charge them shed loads.

My mate's missus works at one of the local universities around here and her job is specifically to sell her university internationally. It's big business. My most local university pulls in huge numbers of foreign, mostly Chinese, students.

Uni of Hertfordshire exists Cocoa...unfortunately!

My cousin has come over from Mauritius to do a law degree course for a year there. They chose that uni cos it is close to my parents house. My parents are not pleased!

I assume certain universities thrive on foreign students for their money. My cousin's family is pretty well off.

There's a university in Reading where my cousin's brother went a couple of years ago to do an accounting degree of some sort. Don't ask which uni it was cos I didn't care and didn't ask.

Queeny im not making fun of the University at all I know all UK Universities are reputable Im just playing Sree's game i.e acting as if going to University suddenly makes him Albert Einstein and superior to the other housemates..

Hey Karms, I didn't bother going down that route of asking Storm to justify themselves. They just wanted to be right in their argument and was proved wrong.
