Looks like I'm going to have to buy some mealworms, as well as all the nuts, seeds and lard balls.

I got my Bruv a few kilo of mealworms for Christmas. The wee birds love em he says

The greenfinches and goldfinches are in decline too. It's been two years since I've had any greenfinches in my garden, and I used to have three or four pairs every year.

You can put out fat scraps left after dinner too Yogi [long as they're not salty like bacon rind].

 I'll settle for the dried ones!

I have a little wren that sometimes visits the garden, but she is so shy, it's hard to get a good look at her.

That caterpillar was far too big for that chick!

How lovely Yogi - I've never seen one 

It's really tiny and tends to hop about in the hedges so it's difficult to get a good look.
