I'm recording it but I've turned over anyway.
Sparrowhawks are beautiful birds, but I didn't like the one that was preying on the sparrows in my garden last year.
The goshawk is beautiful too.
I'm in the kitchen, so will have to watch on catch-up.
Like birds myself (no tittering) always had an interest in them. Collected a series of weekly leaflets when I was a boy and they came together as large volumes.
Apparently we have a hawk or possibly a falcon of some kind living in the city centre. It surveys the city from a high perch and picks off pigeons.
I'm watching.

When we were small, my dad used to take my late brother and me on nature walks, showing us nests, and teaching us about birds and wildlife.
I love birds of prey.

The other day I was out walking the dog and saw two blackbirds chase off a magpie that had obviously been too close to their nest. Lots of screeching and they were relentless in the fight to save their chicks.

He's a fabulous speciman.
