I'm in the kitchen, so will have to watch on catch-up.

Like birds myself (no tittering) always had an interest in them. Collected a series of weekly leaflets when I was a boy and they came together as large volumes.

Apparently we have a hawk or possibly a falcon of some kind living in the city centre. It surveys the city from a high perch and picks off pigeons.

When we were small, my dad used to take my late brother and me on nature walks, showing us nests, and teaching us about birds and wildlife.

I love birds of prey.

Good on the blackbirds!  Magpies are little buggers when it comes to murdering other birds' chicks

They sure are, Madame. The blackbirds did a grand job of chasing it off.
