I don't know how Agent Joe is going to take the news

 

I loved it too Pengy...it is deffo one of my faves..though I didn't get to see much of the last season because it clashed with the Irish Apprentice...Lucas was a brilliant addition.  That's what I love about the show, they chop and change, you don't know what character's going to go next and when they bring a new one in they really fit them in so well. 

 

Sprout, it's the creators axing it as opposed to the BBC, because they want to quit while they're ahead, which I suppose is good.  But it's still a shocker!

 

I'm just glad Adam isn't alive to see this

I feel your pain Sprout...and lets be fair, you'd have to shut everything else off because you'd never be able to follow it unless you gave it your full attention...we I wouldn't be able to any how.

 

But there is still one series left...so we still have some time before we have to bid farewell.

If Spooks were to carry on for another series, it would presumably then be set in 2012 during the Olympics. That spin off series Spooks: Code 9 was based on London and the South East having been evacuated as a result of a nuclear attack in London during the Games, so that could be another reason why they axed Spooks.

  

Shame. At least we've got another season to finish it off though, when many other shows get suddenly cancelled without time to bring things to a close.

Why do they axe the good shows?

I always felt that Spooks was style over content.  I've tried to get into it, as it's the sort of thing I usually like, but I've never really got into it.

 

BBC3's kiddie Spooks was dire.

We decided to give Torchwood a go tonight! Never seen it before. Couldn't decide whether it was a spoof or whether it was a badly scripted, badly written crock. Fooey! Prime time? I'm going to miss Spooky Wooks.

I use to love Torchwood but since they moved it from Wales to the USA it's changed and I hate it 

I'm really enjoying this series of Torchwood.  I tend to think that sci-fi as a genre has just about done every scenario to death and almost all sci-fi is hopelessly derived from other sources, but this series is a fresh idea and I like it as a series rather than in its episodic format.  The subject matter is far more adult orientated and thought provoking than in previous series.

I have to say I've never watched it,however it's annoying when a  show you like gets the chop.

Oh I like Sceince fiction , I used to read lots avidly.There's a big difference between good science fiction and "popular" sci fi.e.g star wars etc..basically cowboys in space.

I wonder will they finally tell us what happened to Zaf...or did they tell us already?  I have vague recollections of him being tortured in Syria or something?

aw thanks Yogi....I always thought because they didn't get a body he might come back.  But again, I have some sort of visions of a video or something showing him being killed.  I can't remember properly though.
