I don't really want anything to be honest - maybe some smellies would be nice
My son just told me that he wants a bread maker. Can anyone recommend a good one?

hahahaha... My hubby goes on a forum (Motleyfool.co.uk) and there is a running joke as this being the most reoccuring thread (on a discussion board called "living below your means")... If you can't be bothered to dredge through them all....
By far the Panasonics are coming out tops... (they are about ÂĢ80)... I can find you the exact model if you want.
ok...
its the Panasonic SD255 Breakmaker.. RRP is about ÂĢ100... but the people on his forum say if you shop around you can get them for about ÂĢ80
(this model boasts a nut/raisin dispenser... hubby says most of the people raving about this machine don't use the nut bit... but still say this is by far the best breadmachine)

I recently bought a Logik, ÂĢ36. I've been baking bread twice a week, it's going like a trouper, no problems at all. IMHO, the more expensive ones do the same only more expensive.
Kids bought me the AWT breadmaker a few years back - had a nut etc., dispenser too.
Useless..! Loaves like bricks AND half the time it never mixed the ingredients very well either.
Edit: I forgot to say, don't buy the AWT one!

Oooh I just bet that Santa will open his sack for that!! I think we are both being very reasonable to ask Santa for things that are free in these times of credit crunchiness
Former Member
Yes, and really, when you think, it's not a lot to ask is it?

Aww Times are so tough and especially in the run up to Christmas unless you can get a few weeks seasonal work. What do you do?
LOL I need both though Veggie.....one for straight hair and one for bouncy wavy hair and they will sit in the cupboard with my new curling wand and be used once in a blue moon! Well the straightners maybe once a week
