Tattie soup made with a beef bone
I like, in no particular order
- broccoli and stilton,
- leek and potato,
- asparagus
- chicken
Potato and ham was the tastiest soup I ever made.
I make a nice spiced butternut squash and carrot soup zazz, it's yummy! I have used sweet potato instead of carrot before when I've ran out, but I think carrot is nicer
I make a home-made vegatable soup and then sometimes put chicken and/or potatoes in it aswell if I'm having a few soup days to kick start the diet. I'm not a big soup fan but I do love my own home-made!
Tinned soup....either Chicken or Tomato and that's it!
I love homemade soup, especially lentil, or chicken and rice with vegetables.
The only soup I'm not keen on is mushroom - although I do like mushrooms.
I used to loved Heinz Beef soup but they don't do it anymore
Pea soup with pig trotters.
It depends which mood I am in, but my faves are chicken and veg (from sainsburys,) and tomato soup. Also the occasional cream of chicken. Also don't like mushroom soup at ALL ... Occasionally have a sainsburys own lentil, which is quite OK.
I have never ever ever made a soup myself, and I probably never will. (I have had it before at restaurants and weddings etc, but TBH, I don't care for it much.... Every soup I have had in a restaurant or at a wedding was a bit shoite and the tinned ones from Sainsburys are nicer imo....)

home made veggie soup or home made leek and potato soup cannot be beaten imo
detest tomato soup and although I love mushrooms, I detest mushroom soup
I lurve homemade soup!
I regularly make vegetable soup, french onion soup, leek & potato soup, butternut squash soup & (my fave) crab & sweetcorn soup
Tesco have some really lovely soups out at them moment, the ones in the plastic tubs in the fridges. One called Shri lankan Chicken is sooooo delicious.

Home made is great 'cos you can tailor it to your own liking of flavours and seasoning.
I purÃĐe carots and potatoes in vegetable stock (after sweating the veg for a bit, then add potato turnip and leek. I only season it with a bit of salt.
It is to die for!
Cock-a-leekie.
Prune julienne
Done.

A few years back Heinz stopped doing all their different varieties of vegetable soup - I complained and basically told them that they had done themselves a huge disservice and would lose a lot of custom. They basically laughed at me, but have now re-introduced all their 'discontinued' varieties of vegetable soup. I wonder why?
I've just been to Waitrose ... they were selling packs of fresh chopped up veg (in the chiller cabinet) - they were marked down from 99p to 29p. If you bought two you got 50p off. So I actually paid 8p for two packs. That'll make enough veg soup for three days lunch
Because we've just had it: crab bisque, blooming lovely

Yuck! Prunes in soup
