when an idiot bluddy 12 year old that doesnt have a clue what he is doing tries to re-install a driver or something like that for reasons he doesnt even know....and it all goes horribley wrong....and you dont have any recovery disks....is it easily fixed?

This will be my last ever problem thread cos it is now confiscated off him anyway - whether we fix it or not.

You can rollback hardware drivers to the one previously installed.

Depends what exactly he's done, but a system restore should sort it out. I cant give exact instructions, cos I cant remember, but you go into system restore, and restore it to an earlier point today (or yesterday) before he started meddling with it.

Olly should be able to tell you the menus etc

Go to accessories, system tools then system restore. Choose a date option before he buggered it up and it should be OK.

I admire him for having a go though!! Its pretty smart for a 12 yr old to give reinstalling drivers and stuff a go!

My 11yr old hacks through parental controls!

And has been bopped from the lego forum... and had a couple of suspensions on his soccer game forum!

He's a mini troll!

Mofo, as others have suggested, you need to do a systems restore. When I unpacked my new laptop after I got it home, I realised there was no discs inside the box so I phoned them up. They said you don't need the discs anymore, you just use systems restore.
