hahaha had to laugh at the 1/2 inch there Laugh Crazy

I'm 4" 11" EXACTLY....quite pleased with it too, being 5 foot something is just sooooo average Sleepy

It is a bit freaky seeing someone my height on telly though....didn't realise how cute I must be Angel.....well till I bite anyway Glance

I always *have* to include that half an inch Big Grin

I quite like being small too DanceSettee. I think it's feminine. My only frustrations are not enough choice for clothes and when I can't reach the top shelf in shops Big Grin

I found it fascinating seeing someone on telly the same size as me and realising how tiny I must look to other people...

...still think people shouldn't keep referring to Sophia's height though when they're slagging her off WinkBig Grin

Dunno about the "feminine" bit...am definitely not what people would call girly. Shake Head

Although I don't particularly like Sophia, I can relate to her attitude...too much being patted on the head and told you're cute does tend to develop a certain snappiness Big Grin

It is weird seeing someone that short, I keep forgetting that I am the same and it's quite a shock to be reminded Big Grin

wouldn't change it though...i can get to a bar quicker than anyone I know Cool

Thumbs Up i'm struggling with the lack of respect for sophia as a human being with all the constant labelling she gets. i think she struggles to articulate generally, and just comes across wrong, that's all.

I'm definitely a girly girl DanceSettee and haven't got the 'attitude' small people are often expected to have Wink Big Grin

Though I completely understand what you say about being patted on the head etc! I always felt humiliated if a guy who asked me to dance, then picked me up (in his arms) and danced around the dance floor with me Big Grin I noticed Charlie said how little Sophia was and picked her up in his arms when they first introduced themselves but I think she took it in good part.

Also, when I was at work years ago, we were talking about pregnancy and having babies etc and one of the girls said she couldn't imagine I could get pregnant or have a baby because I was so tiny. I was really offended and told her my mum was smaller than me and had no trouble at all having 3 healthy babies! It's as if some people see being small as a deformity! That's why I found the talk about steroids irritating. I don't know, maybe the steroids did affect Sophia's height if she had them when she was still growing as a child but she might be just like you and I and was meant to be small anyway, which is normal!

Anyway, I'm glad I'm in such good company DanceSettee Hug And just for the record, so far, I don't particularly like Sophia either, especially after seeing and hearing what she said to Angel on the HL show tonight Shake Head

Well said Clapping Clapping Clapping

As in former BB years, some people can't just say what they don't like about a housemate's behaviour, they have to resort to prejudice and name calling about their appearance. If it wasn't Sophia's height, I'm sure they'd find something else about her appearance to pick on!

As I said, she turned me against her tonight, the way she spoke to Angel but that has nothing at all to do with anything about her appearance! Maybe you are right and she does have trouble articulating herself. I felt sorry for Angel though.

oooh Mad Mad I hated that!!

mind you they don't get away with it these days...I'm perfectly capable of picking a guy up on my back and whirling him about a bit....they usually end up more embarrased than me Laugh

I definitely have small women's syndrome, and i quite like it Big Grin
DanceSettee
I don't like her one single bit, she seems to enjoy conflict to the point of manufacturing reasons to cause it. I would like to see her evicted at the earliest opportunity.

That said, I do empathise with her because of her having Lupus. It's an awful thing to have and the prognosis can be quite grim. I did wonder if her behaviour was coming from her compensating for the lack of control over her illness, or she's naturally just a nasty cow.

Who knows... Confused

Hi Hal

That's 3 of us Petites now wavey

I wouldn't mind gaining just half an inch at the Doc's surgery, then I will have made 5 foot, which is so much easier to say than 4 foot 11 and a half inches Big Grin

What a surprise for you though! Are you still growing or did they make a mistake?

I too empathise with her having Lupus. I have a friend with a long term illness (been ill for over 20 years now) and have seen how illness can rob a young woman of the life she could have had. Also, it must have been devastating to lose her sister on top of her own physical suffering.

As you say, who knows if this is affecting her behaviour or whether she would be like that anyway. I do know that if she talks to other people in the house, the way she spoke to Angel tonight, I won't be able to excuse her.

Lol about the hair! I must have looked taller back in the 80's with my big hair, (yes I am in my 40's now! Another advantage of being petite -makes you look younger than you are - annoying when you're young but great as you get older!). Maybe we should all go for an Amy Winehouse hairstyle, though we might topple over if we did Laugh

I didn't see what happened between her and Angel but there comes a point where excuses for bad behaviour just that - excuses, and no one should have to put up with it. They'll sort her out, I'm sure Thumbs Up
