Today I had to wait in for the engineer to come and check a newly installed gas hob that had one inoperable ring.
They gave me a time of between 10:00am and 1pm which was already an improvement on the 8:00am - 5pm time (looking good).
So I went to the house arriving at 10:00am, settled down with my tablet (borrowing some wifi from an unsecured neighbour - it's OK I know them).
About an hour or so passed and I got a call from the engineer who said he would be about 15 minutes. Sure enough he arrived when he said. I took him through to the kitchen and presented the hob.
Within 30 seconds he had diagnosed and resolved the fault. He explained exactly what was wrong and showed me the component used. It took him longer to complete the paperwork.
He was a friendly, helpful and effifcient engineer. Hats off to him on an all round good job.
I just wanted to post a positive service engineer story for once.
