I've just watched the first 3 episodes, of BB9, and when I said I actually didn't mind Alexandra (at first) I was clearly having a brainfart moment 3 years ago.  She was absolutely horrid. Member I told you, yeh!

BB9 was the first BB I watched, and I loved it... so many great memories.  Plus it was my first time ever on a forum....... happy days

Roxanne was the only blind FM I remember Skylark, I know she had a specially adapted PC with software that read text out loud. Apparently it was really funny at times.

I really disliked Mikey for all sorts of reasons none of which were to do with him being blind. We have a housing section for visually impaired people on our estate so I know quite a few people who are blind and most of those who watched it weren't very impressed with Mikey or what they had heard of his behaviour in the house.

Yes, really Rawky I only tuned in then because I had retired, and caught an episode on  daytime tv..... and I was hooked

It was really the last night, if i remember right, Veggie, but possibly a lot of trolls! I had a kind of love /hate with Mikey, and i didnt like the the view of some folks saying not to give him the sympathy vote, i do not remember him ever wanting that...he was a bit rude tho...but he still spoke up for himself, with Mario keeping reminding everyone he was blind ! Rawky has opened a can of worms here

Skylark - it's brill though. I didn't watch any BBs after 9 so missed out on all the forum hoohaa. So much more fun being able to argue/debate about them all rather than just watching them.

Mikey was awful  although I was  when Rex's girlfriend told him to go and take the pan full of boiling fat and sausages off the stove as she was having her hair or nails done!!

No me didnt like Rex , and i remember saying so ...oh the days

I've been watching BB9 episodes on & off all day ...   I had it on the lappy as I was doing other things...   it was like having the live feed on in the background.

Things I had forgotten - how much I hated loads & loads of them     how screechy Kat & Sara were....      Mo..   how irritating I found Mo...    

I had to skip to day 80...   cos I couldn't bare to watch the ones with Nicole in the house     And Lisa was better after Mario left.

I want to find the bit of Kat in the bath talking to the tap...    the "Mr Swaaaaaaaaaaaaan" bit...   I think they showed in on highlights.. well a bit of it..   they were unlikely to show it all..   cos it went on for about an hour & a half...    

and I had forgotten about the way Mario used to stand round the pool..     One leg cocked up on a chair 

oh & I want to find the genitalia cup bit as well! 

I am considering making my own best bits mash up!     Advantage of using daughters laptop - she already has software on here for downloading the undownloadable

I seem to remember two "regulars" who were blind, although I can't for the life of me remember the name of the other.

IIRC, Roxanne had the same condition as Mikey.

You're probably right Eugene (Hi btw x), I remember Rox because she'd been around for a while before that BB but Mikey being in it probably added quite a few other fms with visual impairment to the mix.

It did get quite vicious over Mikey - but then doesn't it anyway over most of the hms?

Actually I enjoyed the BB with Bex and Luke in it..... In fact I enjoyed most BBs... So i am glad its returning. 

But you didn't like Bex and Luke surely?

I did at the time funily enough; I don't know why.  LOL. 

Hmm, well I still stand by my initial feelings of Jen.  Watching BB9 now she comes across as a pretty nice girl. I think she just became to heavily influenced by Sylvia, Dennis and Rebecca. Plus with Luke shit-stirring everything, it really didn't help her cause.

And then there's the reaction to her painting fiasco...less said about that the better

Her reaction when they announced that Dennis had been removed was so OTT it was quality.

To borrow a phrase from Buffy she acted like she'd been diagnosed with cancer of the puppy

Yes, up to a point, but I really don't remember the sheer volume of vicious and downright libelous comments being quite as bad as in BB9 - not even during the Ais/Nikki nonsense of BB7.

It wasn't just Mikey who got it (I recall some pretty outrageous comments concerning Mo and Darnell), but it was the attacks on him that stood out for me.

First off, there were the persistent claims that he was faking his blindness and (by implication) commiting fraud by claiming benefits. This despite (as I mentioned above) a regular FM on the forum who had the same condition.  I had worked for a while on "talking books" for the blind, but (call me naive here) I was shocked by that. (I've since discovered that quite a few disabled people get this malicious nonsense from time to time in RL.)

Then there was that twonk of a "comedian" who, while a guest on BBLB, basically implied that Mikey was a paedophile on live TV...

One particular incident on the forum I remember was when the HMs were instructed to clean the house. Someone watching LF claimed that Mikey was stealing from other HM's drawers. This was nonsense of course - in reality he was just removing all those custard cream wrappers (), and he was in full view of other HMs - but the way in which other FMs lept on this was really scary. There were even quite serious suggestions that he should have his fingers broken...

Actually, one of the notable things about BB9, and I suspect why it got rather heated on the forums at the end, was that the voting between the final 5 was extremely close - I haven't checked, but I reckon it was probably the closest final of all the series. (BB10 and 11 were very

close between the runners-up, but they both had a runaway winner.)

The voting figures that were released were based on eviction snapshots. However if you worked backwards to calculate all the other HMs' percentages at those snapshots (not always entirely accurate because it relies on some assumptions, but just go along with me ), it looks as if each of the evictees on final night went by no more than about a 4% margin: Rex probably lost 3rd place to Sara by less than 1%.

Breaking down the percentages between all 5 finalists (i.e. before any evictions), it's likely that Rachel got less than 25% of the overall vote...

The point I feel he was robbed of the victory though... was when Nicole walked in. 

I loved BB9 too, all the drama over custard creams and when the divide come up and alot of the time it was the same one's being left on the poor side Luke , lisa etc too the stage where Luke was bedridden due to exhuastion

How my TV survived though with my dislike of Kat and her whiney voice and cookie jar
