frustrated in scotland reporting i have watched BB since day one ... and had one hell of a time with men . ive been alone 3yrs now and i dont know if i like it or not ,
now i think back, it's when i first managed to get online, with a 56k built in modem and a phone line, i was long term poorly at the time, i remember being told off when the phone bill came in...
in the time it took to dial a connection and get some thing on the screen, you could have a bath, brush your teeth and make toast.
but online was an hysterical experience in those days.

Whenever I think I don't (like it) I remember all the things I do now without thinking that I couldn't do if there was someone hairy lurking about. Reference:

Bloody dial up connection. Oddly enough I was only reminding son today how recently the internet kicked off. Because he's grown up with it - and with a cyber tart for a mother - it's second nature for him and his sister to be familiar with online relationships - he has XBox buddies that he interacts with because they are the kids of people I know online. I was trying to find words to explain how the ZX Spectrum worked compared with his XBox. And I failed.

yeah... it was fab... "major generalisation warning*
it was basically 50% IT ppl, 40% pervs, 5% just weird... and the rest were like us (broadly speaking)
It used to help the bonding experience... finding another non-It, relatively sane person online that was not wanting to cyber or groom you!
I remember being in awe when at Amazon... you could BUY stuff on the net... then bit by bit getting excited as a new online retailer emerged!

cos the broadband is paid by direct debit from hubby's account....if I can't see it being paid... then it must be freeeeeeeeeee!

thats a big jump... you'd have to first of all explain what a tape recorder was....
and.... just how hit & miss getting a game to load when you don't have an operating system was...
But.. once there... Manic Miner & Jet Set Willy were fab game!
ooh, i had a mega drive and a gamegear.

Exactly the same for me Blackpud. We went for a last family hol together in Cornwall and my mum repeatedly said what a load of rubbish BB was and couldn't understand what we all liked about it.....this year I see her point!Add Reply
