Claire Lomas is halfway through the London Marathon
A woman using a bionic suit to complete the London Marathon is more than half-way through her epic attempt.
Claire Lomas from Eye Kettleby in Leicestershire is paralysed from the waist down after a horse-riding accident.
Over the past few days, Claire has battled strong winds and rain in London. Her family, friends and members of the public cheered her on as she crossed Tower Bridge - the halfway point for the 26 mile race.
Claire Lomas set off along with thousands of others on 22nd April. She's the first person to attempt the marathon in a bionic suit.
Supported by her husband Dan and one year old daughter Maisie, Claire is hoping to raise more than ÂĢ50,000 for Spinal Research - a charity which helps develop treatment for paralysis.
She broke her neck, back and ribs when she was thrown off her horse during the Osberton Horse Trials in Nottinghamshire in 2007.
Her "ReWalk" suit was designed by an Israeli entrepreneur. It helps people with lower-limb paralysis to stand, walk and climb stairs through an onboard computer system and motion sensors.
She's aiming to complete the London marathon by 8th May.
