Either we're pluralist, or we're not.
I agree there are two other nationalistic parties on that list and only the BNP is singled out for criticism...hmmm.

Could be because of the three, only the BNP bases its brand of nationalism on exclusion, intolerance, and "closed border" politics?
I see very little difference in the mindset of all three, they are intolerant of other nationalities to an extent that they all want independence and more defined boarders. The only difference is that 2 represent minorities, it seams its fine to be bigoted as long as you are in the minority.

Ahh, think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one..living in Scotland, with an SNP government ( albeit with limited powers) , I see real efforts being made to redress the social and financial divides that were initiated by a Tory government that we didn't elect, and reinforced ( or worsened, maybe) by Blair +co - I don't hear jingoistic sabre-rattling,or intolerance of other nationalities, except from the Westminster crew and sections of the media banging on about the number of Scots in positions of power in the UK parliament. It's possible to be nationalist and internationalist ,and seems to me that's the way the SNP is..

I guess we will have to disagree, I have had to put up with a Labour government I didnt elect headed up by scottish MPs and have to listen to the SNP and this kind of English v Scottish rhetoric. They are all the same to me. Its the road to perdition as far as i am concerned it is always paved with good intentions and the kind of set up that got the national socialists into power in Germany in the 30's. They are all nationalistic parties and all have common ground on a lot of policies.

I did, wonder that is, but then I was happy to see that there is only 1, and thats probably a wind up.
I voted Labour even though I am far from happy with them, I would rather chop my hand off than vote conservative.

You'd be surprised OHG... hubby has been having a heated argument on his biker forum all day... fighting an awful lot of BNP supporters. (its the Triumph forum).

It is a tad annoying for me as a biker to see the support the British NAZI party gets from some bikers, alot of them fail to realise that they and their way of life would soon be targeted should that filth ever get into power

The sad thing is, there are plenty of MP's out there who haven't abused the system. The party leaderships need to sack every single MP that has had their nose in the trough and replace them immediately.

Yes and I want those MPs listed that havent been sticking their nose in the trough so that we can all be sure who has some integrity.

when we finaly get a general election i'll vote tory because i want to see the labour tosser that currently does nothing except fiddle his expenses go and the torys are the only party that could get rid of him realisticly.

Just out of interest, why will you vote BNP? Does it have anything to do with where you live in Yorks?

no, nothing at all, i dislike 99% of what they stand for but when it comes to the eu i agree with pretty much everything they say and since ukip have been hopeless i just figured i'd hope that they might do a bit more to help the uk (all of the uk) fight the united states of europe.

what i do find funny isthat in the context of the eu people call the bnp nazis (which i'm sure in other areas they are) yet they are the ones fighting against hitlers dream of a european superstate.

Fair enough. I don't agree with you, but I sort of understand your rationale. I just wondered whether your location was a factor. I know some areas up here, like Bradford & Barnsley, have got a particularly organised and active BNP membership. I was just curious to see how they operate at a grass roots level.

That is just insulting, ignorant nonsense.
SNP supporters are pro Scots, they are NOT anti English (indeed they are not anti anything) – it has nothing to do with bigotry and everything to do with home rule.
