I see very little difference in the mindset of all three, they are intolerant of other nationalities to an extent that they all want independence and more defined boarders. The only difference is that 2 represent minorities, it seams its fine to be bigoted as long as you are in the minority.quote:Originally posted by Slinkiwitchx:quote:Originally posted by CaptVimes:I agree there are two other nationalistic parties on that list and only the BNP is singled out for criticism...hmmm.quote:Originally posted by Bigdaddyostrich:

Either we're pluralist, or we're not.
Could be because of the three, only the BNP bases its brand of nationalism on exclusion, intolerance, and "closed border" politics?
LOVED their Party Election Broadcast

Ahh, think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one..living in Scotland, with an SNP government ( albeit with limited powers) , I see real efforts being made to redress the social and financial divides that were initiated by a Tory government that we didn't elect, and reinforced ( or worsened, maybe) by Blair +co - I don't hear jingoistic sabre-rattling,or intolerance of other nationalities, except from the Westminster crew and sections of the media banging on about the number of Scots in positions of power in the UK parliament. It's possible to be nationalist and internationalist ,and seems to me that's the way the SNP is..

I've always been a Tory too but, in the European Elections next month, I shall be registering a protest vote by voting for either UKIP or The Green Party.
In a General Election, I would still vote Conservative.
Good on your Hyacinth
no you gotta vote UKIP, unbelivable

For those who are voting Lib Dem, just curious, but are you voting for them as a protest to the other big parties or do you actually like their policies?
For me Queenie, they are the voice of reason. I just get infuriated that they don't speak up enough, or with enough conviction.
I guess we will have to disagree, I have had to put up with a Labour government I didnt elect headed up by scottish MPs and have to listen to the SNP and this kind of English v Scottish rhetoric. They are all the same to me. Its the road to perdition as far as i am concerned it is always paved with good intentions and the kind of set up that got the national socialists into power in Germany in the 30's. They are all nationalistic parties and all have common ground on a lot of policies.quote:Originally posted by Slinkiwitchx:quote:see very little difference in the mindset of all three, they are intolerant of other nationalities to an extent that they all want independence and more defined boarders. Not sure what you mean here?

Anybody else wondering who voted BNP?
I did, wonder that is, but then I was happy to see that there is only 1, and thats probably a wind up.
I voted Labour even though I am far from happy with them, I would rather chop my hand off than vote conservative.

You'd be surprised OHG... hubby has been having a heated argument on his biker forum all day... fighting an awful lot of BNP supporters. (its the Triumph forum).
I'd rather wash my balls with a brick than vote for my local sleaze merchant ever again

It is a tad annoying for me as a biker to see the support the British NAZI party gets from some bikers, alot of them fail to realise that they and their way of life would soon be targeted should that filth ever get into power
It is obvious now all the parties having been doing this for years frankly none of them can be trusted

The sad thing is, there are plenty of MP's out there who haven't abused the system. The party leaderships need to sack every single MP that has had their nose in the trough and replace them immediately.
Yes and I want those MPs listed that havent been sticking their nose in the trough so that we can all be sure who has some integrity.quote:Originally posted by Queen of the High Teas:quote:Originally posted by Marguerita:

Me too, that won't sell papers though will it.
well i've added another bnp vote because come the next elections (european) i will be voting for them.
when we finaly get a general election i'll vote tory because i want to see the labour tosser that currently does nothing except fiddle his expenses go and the torys are the only party that could get rid of him realisticly.

Just out of interest, why will you vote BNP? Does it have anything to do with where you live in Yorks?
If our results are as reliable as usual (we were only wrong in the first and the final last year) then the lib dems will be voted out..... oh yeh, i mean in.

no, nothing at all, i dislike 99% of what they stand for but when it comes to the eu i agree with pretty much everything they say and since ukip have been hopeless i just figured i'd hope that they might do a bit more to help the uk (all of the uk) fight the united states of europe.
what i do find funny isthat in the context of the eu people call the bnp nazis (which i'm sure in other areas they are) yet they are the ones fighting against hitlers dream of a european superstate.

I think quite alot of people will be feeling that way.
My first choice would be UKIP and the last would be SNP.

Fair enough. I don't agree with you, but I sort of understand your rationale. I just wondered whether your location was a factor. I know some areas up here, like Bradford & Barnsley, have got a particularly organised and active BNP membership. I was just curious to see how they operate at a grass roots level.
I can't my head round voting for a party when you disgree with 99% of their policies?

That is just insulting, ignorant nonsense.
SNP supporters are pro Scots, they are NOT anti English (indeed they are not anti anything) â it has nothing to do with bigotry and everything to do with home rule.
I once spolied my ballot with glitter.
Scotty, SNP is on that list.quote:Originally posted by Scotty:
