I agree about Robertson spider.
Much of his potting has been thrilling. Pin-point accuracy.
Robertson 8 - Carter 6 at the end of this morning.
Selby and Dott continue at 2.30
Selby and Dott continue at 2.30
Did you see Nick Clegg just now in the Crucible? His Taylor/Davis gaffe comment was amusing.
No - I missed it.
Is it just me who cant stand the female Ref?......
This is an exciting match between Robertson and Carter
I like Michaela Tabb.
Dott 10 Selby 8
Come on Dott!
I didn`t realise I was watching a repeat.
Dott 14 Selby 10
3 to go!
Dott 14 Selby 10
3 to go!
Selby 14 - Dott 15
Some excellent snooker. And the match played in a nice spirit by both players.
Getting tense now - first to 17.

Dott wins.
Gutted Dott for the win then for me

Higgins and his manager prepared to take backhanders
Throw the book at them Barry

If it's true it's not just disgusting that he's doing that (it's not as if he needs the money!), but it's a bit of a slap in the face for all of his supporters and friends and family.
Robertson's got the wrong colour of hair!
If that's his natural colour then he wants to dye it and if he's dyed it that colour then he wants to UN-dye it.
That blondness just makes him look like a silly wee boy - who can take someone who looks like a silly wee boy seriously?

Bang goes Higgins' Holier than Thou persona, if true, of course. Although the video evidence seems undeniable.
I think he needs to be stripped of evreything he's ever won and his MBE....
That might be a bit hasty Croc....the MBE perhaps, but EVERYTHING?
Yeah...World titles...wipe his name from the record books

Innocent until proven guilty but they have stated that they were in fear of their lives during the meeting. Didn't really look that way to me from the film footage.
Yes, the chinking of the glasses, and Higgins talking about Mortgages and other financial matters did not help his claim that he was in fear of his life..................
Higgins has been banned from all future snooker events until further notice.
The sooner this is fully investigated the better.
Meanwhile, he is tranished. Sadly, even if exonerated, mud sticks.
I believe Graham Dott has the same manager.
I wonder if it will have an adverse effect on his game today.

Robertson does indeed have silly hair. The sensible hair of Dott for the laurels
I don't mind the colour of Robertson's hair.
But I always find it laughable that people spend such a very long time moulding, shaping and tweaking their hair to give it that 'caught-in-a-storm' look.

He's been suspended now and his manager's resigned from the WPBSA board.
Have to say it's not boding well.

It's just a shame that all this 'unpleasantness' will detract from the enjoyment of the final for most people. Not least the two players, Dott and Robertson. On what should have been their big day all everyone will be talking about is Higgins and the (alleged) skullduggery
BBC forum seems to be blocking people from starting Higgins threads.

I wonder if Steve Davis and John Parrot etc have been told not to mention anything about the 'events'?

I think tomorrow will be a bad hair day!
Well, we have recent allegations about John Higgins and his manager.
Meanwhile we already have Stephen McGuire and Jamie Burnett referred to prosecutors, while Stephen Lee was arrested and bailed followed illegal betting suspicions.
So less than 1 isolated instance.
This besmirches the whole sport. (I think that is the first time I have ever typed the word 'besmirch'.)

Well done Brisket. We knew you had it in you!
Thank you Fluffy for your encouragement. I may now go from strength to strength.
Aint Besmirch a type o chaffinch
The commentators keep saying that Graham Dott is not playing as well as he can, that he has not settled. They suggest he may be feeling the after-effects of his match with Selby.
They suggest he is tired and not as fresh as Robertson.
All of which may be true.
But what they do not say (and have probably been told not to) is that Dott's business advisor is Patrick Mooney, the manager of John Higgins and the man involved in the suggestions of attempted bribery.
So perhaps Dott has other things on his mind!!

I have the snooker on now - I've been trying to watch as much as I can of it and like everyone else I'm aghast at the allegations re John Higgins et al.
As someone mentioned alrteady, the footage is fairly incriminating.
Would be a shame if this incident as affecting Dott as I would like to see him win.
Was hooked on his match with Selby last night - thought it was going to go the other way at one point.
(That boy's hair is ridiculous)

Davis has called it a dark day in snooker. Today (and tomorrow) is supposed to be the World Snooker's flag-ship tournament final, a prosperous occasion. Instead the game has once again been brought into disrepute. Shame really.

My husband wondered if Higgins threw some frames against Steve Davis.........Steve being a pretty unlikely choice to win and therefore being an ideal target for a betting scam.It really is disgraceful.
Yes, while Steve played his very best in a long time, it has to be noted that Higgins' game was unusually poor. Not to take anything away from Steve's accomplishment in beating him, of course...
