Yesterday O'Sullivan once again showed his 'dodgy' temperament.
Apparently O'Sullivan missed a pot and according to the BBC website (which has a clip of the incident) -
"O'Sullivan responded by making a one-fingered gesture at the ball, earning a rebuke from referee Colin Humphries.
He has been warned that he risks being docked a frame if there is any repeat."

Trying to keep his bad-boy image alive.

I heard the ball wasn't too happy about it..

..he was OK after a cuddle from the referee..



..but the others have said they're keeping an eye on the situation

I am so glad Steve Davis won last night.......I was cheering him on....Strange that I never liked him when he was at the peak of his career I ALWAYS wanted his opponent to win whoever they were, same with Hendry...Maybe it's my age...all oldies sticking together!!!..

lal  I feel pretty much the same about him.
That was an emotional match.

In Steve Davis' younger days I used to think his face betrayed little emotion; he seemed so bland.
But tonight his face was like reading a book.
You could fair read his concentration, - almost his thoughts.
Not bland tonight.

6-2  it was 5-2 when i went to bed, i had a feeling he would win the last frame, never really liked him either in his younger days, don't really mind him now, but i can't understand why all of a sudden he's getting a standing ovation everytime he enters the arena, who made him god all of a sudden


and don't even get me started on Dennis Taylor when he's commentating. he's forever  harping back to the old days and what shot they are going to take next and 9 out of 10 times getting it wrong

Actually I would consider Davis as a snooker God.

His dominance through the 1980s is undeniable.  And now in the Autumn years of his career he is still able to excite the viewers when he musters a bit of form and gives us glimpses of Steve Davis of old.

Martin Gould leading Neil Robertson 6-2 is a surprise.


It seems ages since Mark Selby played. I don't think he has his second match until Sunday. Then (if he does get through) it'll be non-staop playing.

I'm glued to this Higgins/Davis game.  Davis still in the lead.  Who would have thought?

A splendid match. Many people did not expect that.
But credit where it is due....

Anyone care to predict the tournament winner?  With Higgins gone it's thrown wide open.  I'll go out on a limb and say the winner of Williams v O'Sullivan.

(Having said that I have probably put a jinx on him.)

Once again a TV presenter tells us the other match is on the red button.
It isn't!
Why on earth can't they get that right.
Now that they have taken the space for HD there is only 1 red button channel (301 for me).
It is going to limit Wimbledon very much.
Similarly today, instead of the choice of both snookers tables, the choice is 1 table or gymnastics.
Anyway Selby / Hendry are 1-1 at the moment.

Yeh it's really annoying how the BBC scaled down their freeview services.  They scrapped the news multi screen feature as well.

Were they both unsettled?
There were a number of times through that session when I would not have guessed it would end 4-4.

O'Sullivan v Williams second session starts at 7.  I'm hoping Williams can win it.

I'll be watching.

I'm watching now. I'm not sure which way I'd like it to go.

I really thought the Hendry session would end with Hendry in the lead. At the least 5-3.

Commentators said that Mark Williams has a poker-players face.
He shows hardly any emotion, which makes him seem particularly placid.
Whereas O'Sullivan definitely does show emotion.

Williams and OSullivan finish as they started, all square.  Ronnie's not playing his best but Williams is playing almost as good as his hay-days.  I still fancy Williams to win it tomorrow.  Then that'll be OSullivan and Higgins out of the tournament.

Hendry received a proper beating at the hands of Selby.  11-5 is the score at the end of the second session.
