I saw the first episode of The Shadow Line on BBC2 last night. It may be well acted and well written, but I found it to be the slowest moving programme I have seen in years. It seems to me that what would normally have been a 2 hour film has been drawn out into 7 hour long episodes.
The first scene shows 2 cops finding a man shot dead in his car. In most programmes this scene would have been less than a minute long. In The Shadow Line it took 6 minutes 20 seconds.
I don't mind slow moving programmes and films, but this is just too slow.
