I'm off for the weekend to visit teh faaaaamily, y'all wash your faces now y'hear?
I have dry skin and can't wear it at all. I look hideous with it, liquid foundation for me all the way.
It tends to highlight dry skin and it doesnt give me the glossy finish that liquid foundation provides...quote:Originally posted by Hollygolightly:

I got it from Mary kay which is a semi-high end brand... I have also read many bad reviews about bare minerals and bare escentuals mineral foundations... I think its the excessive buffing that drives the powder into the pores ...
dayuumm..
I've got two on the go at the mo.. GloMinerals Pressed Base and Lilylolo Mineral Foundation. Both are pretty good. Secret is in having the right brush. Gotta have a good kabuki brush
You are one of the lucky few with great skin then hun...quote:Originally posted by tupps:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:

I have pretty good skin as well, I have never been spotty, even through my teens...although, when I do get the odd spot it's usually a MAHOOSIVE one!
I hate waking up with make-up on, makes my skin feel rotten I try and not wear make up all the time as I like my skin to breathe!

I never sleep with my slap on, I even keep some tea tree wipes in my bedside drawer for when I'm tipsy and can still get it off.

Going to bed with make up on doesnβt age you prematurely, thatβs a myth (itβs a lack of sleep which isnβt good for your skin).
The only problem with wearing make up in bed is that it just isnβt very hygienic, and if youβve oily skin youβll probably end up with spots and blackheads if you donβt cleanse your face regularly.

There isnβt any rhyme or reason to it, some folk have bad skin regardless of whether they wear make up in bed. I think itβs just down to luck really, Sophie for example looks amazing β some folk are just jammy that way

I don't think its so much going to bed with make up on as what you haven't done, ie cleanse tone and moisturise which is what keeps your skin looking fresh and dewy. I have seen some people whose skin looks really wrinkly in their 40's whilst some in their 60's even still have relatively unlined skin. Of course keeping your face from too much exposure to the sun helps too.
Genetics has a lot to do with it too

And unfortunately smoking
I wear too much make up to sleep in it.
Death mask on the pillow have done it a few times after LOTS of alcohol
I do this sometimes, mainly when I'm drunk, and I don't get spots much.

I've done it a few times
I suppose it's ok so long as you don't do it all the time and remove it and cleanse the next morning.
I once worked with a girl who just woke up and reapplied it over the top the next day

I have been 2 work, finished at 6am, came home and fallen asleep then taken my little girl to school. Think drag queen style make up Smudged!! not a good look
I end up doing this so often 'cause of nights out and going round friends' houses, but I never wear anything on my face like foundation so it's not too bad. I sometimes wear a cover up stick if I'm going somewhere important and have a spot but that's it.
And I never use moisturiser/Clearasil sort of products either as they always bring me out in spots, so it's just water for my face.
Also, my mum and nan never ever use beauty products (anti wrinkle/anti aging etc) creams and they've not got a wrinkle on them

Bish .. But My mama is 52 and has no single wrinkle and she could pass for 40.. She only uses soap and water and very basic moisturiser.... I dont think there is a need to spend thousands of pounds on skincare the key to ageless beauty is to stay out of the sun and quit smoking...quote:Originally posted by mary_bee:

Ah, the same age as mine
I think just soap and water is the best, especially just water, because you know for a fact there's no horrible chemicals in there.
I only do it when I'm pissed....then I wake up and my hairs like cardboard and my face looks like the back end of a bus...(even more than usual)
That's why I never go out on the piss often anymore!

No matter how drunk I am I will wash my face and probably pass out on the sink ...quote:Originally posted by Lacey:

I'm banned from the bathroom when drunk now unless supervised....Mr L found me asleep in the bath (with water in) pissed after a night out one night...very dangerous!quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:No matter how drunk I am I will wash my face and probably pass out on the sink ...quote:Originally posted by Lacey:
