They always do gooduns. Ah well, gives us more of a chance I spose.
Match Of The Day is on BBC2 at 10pm
TBF .......I really dont think we stand a chance .........since the Eastern Bloc became so many disparate states and since it went to public voting we've been out on our ear. Don't think it's political it's just that .....you vote for what's familiar.
Apparently the voting is slightly different this year .......but - I'm not holding my breath.

I am rooting for Iceland, the girl in the puffy dress.
don't think we will win because of the way the voting goes but hopefully we will have a good laugh watching it!

I haven't watched it for years and I won't be watching it tonight, especially as that odious Graham Norton is presenting. No-one does it like Terry

Wogan irritated the hell out of me on it
sorry
sorry
I don't care if he said I hope the UK wins or that but he;s saying it as if he is British and turning his back on his own identity as if it's something to be embarrased about.
It's like Davis and Victoria in America saying i hope we win the world cup ()when talking about the USA

I agree that Terry Wogan is an extremely hard act to follow ...................I actually thought Graham Norton wasn't a bad choice to follow ........in all honesty who could fit Terry Wogans shoes?

But he's lived here for years and is working for British television, having worked on the programme that chose the British entrant. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Terry wasn't as good last year, as he just sounded pissed off with it all.
I think Graham will fill his shoes quite nicely.

Yeah, the song isn't bad, but no-one likes us anymore so we never get the votes
How have they changed the voting?

Think the Irish jury can still vote though ...
UK and Ireland normally vote for each other to save the dreaded 'nul points' blushes ....

Half the points come from the public vote and half from an 'expert panel', LL.
At least we have a tiny bit more of a chance!

i think i read that the countries are having a panel of "experts" voting as well as the public, then the scores will be added together to see who gets what points
not sure whether that is right or whether i dreamed it

yay i didnt dream it
I've never watched the Eurovision for two very good reasons:
i) I can't stand 'pop' music
ii) I can't stand Terry Wogan
Now that Wogan has gone, I'll still not watch it as he's been relaced by another odious cretin and the music will be just as naff as ever!
