We've got the sky package; broadband/calls/tv we don't have the movies or sports channels, just the entertainment & knowledge packages. I think it's ÂĢ32 a month or thereabouts We've always been very happy with the service, one time at the old house we had a drop out issue with the Internet but a quick call to sky and we had it sorted out My only complaint is the constant calls from BT trying to get me to change my calls back to them

I'm on Virgin too (ÂĢ34 per month for 60mb broadband, TV & landline phone is a pretty decent package IMO) and think the quality of service is just great. My broadband is super fast and never had any issues with them. Used to be with BT and would never go back unless they were the last provider left and I needed them - their customer service is the worst I have ever had.

Would not touch Sky as I don't want to line Murdoch's pockets.

But in general I find that you can find lovers and haters for most providers. I think you just have to pick one and hope they turn out to be OK. If not, try to get out as soon as possible.

Flippin eck! I'm paying about ÂĢ80 all in (phone BB and telly with sports (not films) and about 20m BB (about to be doubled for free though).

I've got a prob at the minute with caller display and all day free calls, I'm trying to get on to them but it's proving difficult. I've only ever had small issues in the past though

Ah, Sprout, don't let me mislead you. I don't subscribe to anything on the TV side, in fact I hardly use the TV box. The reason I have all three items is that they said the whole package is cheaper than just having the broadband alone. I use the phone a bit but not much. To me it was a no brainer to take all three and have a cheaper service.

Ah right. I see EC. TBH, I find the phone invaluable when I come in from work about 5pm every night - hence the reason I had free calls. (Bone of contention at the minute though until I get it sorted out with Virgin) I also had caller display which they have taken off me due to said probs and I need to get sorted. Virgin had probs in my area though so hopefully..........

Let's hope they get your problems sorted out quickly.

Some of my family are on Virgin, the free Virgin to Virgin calls is pretty useful.

You are right Garage Joe, they do special deals on mobile phones for Virgin customers. Unfortunately I wanted a sim only deal, but they don't yet do micro sims!

Virgins rape you every opertunity they get(no pun intended) you have to dial them for assistance on a 0845 number from your mobile...so don't bother because you usually need assistance with they billing stuff because they are crap at that..

Not in my experience. On the odd occasion I've needed to deal with them they've been fine

Depends which way you speak to them I guess

I had the complete opposite experience when I was with sky.  It disconnected every time the phone rang despite all of the appropriate filters being in place.  Sometimes it would take hours and hours to come back on.  The help line had me on hold one night for well over 2 hours.

BT who I am with now, it's ok but over the last few weeks the service is dipping in and out on a regular basis, but I'm not sure if they've been doing some work on it.
