Apparently he retired when he got his inheritance after his Father died.

Just so that you know that it was announced yesterday that Neil Jordan the film director's next film is to be Skippy Dies, based on the book by Paul Murray. It tells the story of Daniel 'Skippy' Juster and his room-mate Ruprecht Van Doren, an overweight genius, at an expensive Catholic boarding school. So it has nothing to do with kangaroos or Big Brother.

I think she asked him did he have over half a million and he did'nt answer just gave her a look, he's never told anyone how much he got or has....

I can't imagine it makes up for the loss of his Father though..

Well seeing he lives in Australia, in this country you get hardly anything. Someone i know, her hubby was killed at work she got £10k after a long fight. Its money i would rather not have, it wouldnt give me any pleasure spending it. Josie not bothered tho, get in there luv ...

No it would'nt, the same happened to my grandad, his wife got a lump sum and all the children had money put into trust for them....

I'm surprised at 10k considering future earnings are brought into consideration unless blame was levelled at 50%....

Not sure of the whole story stonks, but it was an out of court settlement. Not much tho, her son was 14 at the time

My brother crushed his toe on the oil rigs and went for an out of court settlement and got £64,000 and that was about 17yrs ago..it would be terrible if someone took advantage of a woman like that after her losing her husband....

It does'nt seem fair..my brother got offered a lot more but with the lawyers argueing they took that off the table and my brother wanted it settled so he ended up with less....

But we don't know how much he has, he's never told anyone....

To be fair (because I can't help myself!)  he said he had to stop working to spend time with his Mum after it happened - presumably she was in bits.   Doesn't mean to say he'll do nothing for the rest of his puff.

Josie has no frigging class or respect...His inhertience and how he came about it is his business, granted he told her in confidence but why did she feel the need to blab to Jo how much Skippy is worth?

He had been working as a vehicle panel beater up until he's fathers accident, he gave that up
to comform his mother and help sort out family affairs. He could always go back to that I guess.

Maybe (but not in a Russell way!)   I don't mind him tbh, but I'm not buying the Josie love.   I think he cares about her a lot, but not in that way... in fact, I'm not sure he's into 'that' all that much at all!

He had already applied to BB Aus and had already given up work, because he was sure of a place in it. His Dad died during this time,  and apparently he  withdrew his application!

I think the same Kaffy, I still believe JJ fancied Keeva more than he does Josie, he just couldn't get close to Keeva at first because Shabby was there and once she went, he couldn't just dump Josie could he? That would show him for what he really is....

well his dad was killed tragically, the money was compo and if he as the means to support himself and wants to retire, well thats up to him, doesnt mean he is lazy, I can tell you one thing if it was me I would retire and I am far from lazy

As it was just over 2 years ago, who knows what path his life will take,  Has he actually retired ? anymore than the other contestant since the show started.
