Moonie! Dont bother with a skip... We almost got one recently as we had amounted a nice big pile of junk in the corner of a garden.... For slightly more though we found a man with a van who not only took it all away but LOADED it all too  No permits or anything to worry about and all done and dusted in less than an hour

Moonie also.... sometimes if you ring the council and arrange a date, they'll pick up larger items [ too big for the bin ] from the kerb. Its a smallish fee.

Rog, our council won't take anything like that. They say if it goes in black plastic bags it can be recycled. Well, at this moment in time, there are ten bags and counting 

Lots of other stuff too. We would need 5 white vans

Some of the stuff my sister is getting rid of is antique stuff but not in the valuable sense

Mine was the same Moonie, There was a 10ft pool that had been there since last summer! (Amongst other things) Get some free quotes, cant hurt.

House Clearances companies might do it cheap? I'm sure they're used to carting off bin bags.

The only caveat I would say is make sure he is reputable or ensure there is no material that can be traced back to your home. You see too many programmes where these guys take your cash and dump your waste in all sorts of places - fly tipping!
