Does it?

It reminds me of the weekly newspaper articles describing Ronaldo swiving with at least five different women every night.

Not quite the same thing, though, is it? Dannii Minogue was already famous and not exactly short of a bob or two.

Also, the way this is being described by the press as an "affair" seems intentionally misleading, as - in this sort of context - "affair" generally implies at least one of them cheating on a partner. The truth is that they were both single at the time.

I agree with others on here that the timing and portrayal of this all seems rather suspicious...

So how is this an affair?

Because calling it that makes it more newsworthy.

Technically, the term "love-affair" can apply to any romantic relationship, but I agree: nowadays, the term usually implies someone's being cheated-on, and that's not the case here...

I don't like him and personally don't care who or how many he sleeps with as it doesn't affect my life in any way. I also don't care whether he's gay or straight, that's his call whatever it is just like everyone else's preference. Oh his one good point (for me) is he loves dogs so being an animal lover he scores brownie points on that

THAT really was brilliant comedy.  Along with Mrs Merton and Chris Eubank.

Caroline Aherne also did a little sitcom 'Mrs Merton and Malcolm' which I found funny, too.  It wasn't on for long (one series?) and I think Craig Cash played her son, Malcolm, in it

Just me Cagney, but I don't agree.  I'm not attracted to power and money.  And don't find a man who is rich and powerful 'sexy.'  That's just me though.
