Baz, hold on tight, (sorry if I squeezed to hard), all we can do is try hard and remember to at least appreciate the few smiles that might happen during each day, even if they are only good memories from the past.........xxx

SELF ISOLATION DAY 8
So far so good - not missing going out at all - in fact it seems quite comforting to stay in.
I can venture into the garden so that's been a great help and the garage is getting a make over so there's plenty to keep me going.

DAY 12 in ISOLATION
Thank goodness we have a garage and front/back gardens. Have plenty to keep me busy
Would be half mad if i lived in a flat.
How goes isolation for you?
I'm glad you posted, Saint--I was just going to ask people to check in.
Isolation is going OK, but I miss seeing other people.
Have picked up some volunteer projects to keep myself busy outside of work, as well.
How about everyone else?
Morning everyone, Fluffy calling. Quite sunny but cold and breezy here. We're doing fine here at the moment. As we have a large house and large garden there's plenty of room to move around both inside and out and plenty to do in the garden soon, once the weather gets a wee bit better. Frost again yesterday.
Afternoon all I wish I could get outside , but the best I can do is sit by the back door . Still the garden is looking very springlike ....although the birds think Iβve deserted them I get an outing tomorrow though ....to fracture clinic ....so hold my hand very tight tomorrow morning , and wish me luck
Baz, you can't even go out in your own garden??

Hi Lori No , Iβve been in hospital the last couple of weeks ....broke my ankle in three places .....non weight bearing for 6/8 weeks .......so very immobile unless Iβm scooting around on a chair
Oh, I see...somehow I missed that news!
That's just what you needed, isn't it?
Good luck at the fracture clinic, and I hope it gets better for your soon!
Signing in with exceptionally clean hands.
My self imposed isolation isnβt too bad. Weβve done a To Do list of jobs weβve been putting off. Today, I reorganised my small bedroom AKA my grandchildrenβs toyroom.

My daughter moved out last year so turned her bedroom into a dining room π
Hi everyone!
I've actually been working from home since last Thursday. I'm in the "underlying health conditions" group, so like others here I was being careful before the official guidelines came in.
Work's a bit odd: line managers have been very good, but most of what I do requires being "hands-on" with equipment. At the moment, most of us are working remotely with a *ahem* skeleton staff in the office to support us when things have to be done manually. I was actually pretty busy today, and overall I've had a lot less free time than I'd have expected, so not much opportunity to potter around at home (or even outside if it had been possible ). However it's debatable how long that can be sustained for - not just for me, but for the whole department.
I popped outside the front door this evening to take part in the "Clap for our Carers", but had to come back in prematurely as I found it all rather emotional...
Hi everyone still getting the full gamut of emotions in every day in every hour sometimes. There wasn't an 8 oclock thing here last night as most of my neighbours are doctors and nurses YAY or disgusting rich scumbags who don't give a toss Boo
Morning all.
Things still fairly calm here, just a bit quieter than usual as the volume of traffic is almost non-existent.
Keep strong'
Day 13 in isolation
Only one day to go before day 14 is reached and (apparently) safety
Washing everything in soap that comes through the door - which is quite comical - never thought i'd wash a banana!!
Thank goodness the sun is breaking through - it seems to cheer up the whole street.
Up to now i'm not missing going out ... that's two weeks in - aherm

I was pleased to see so many neighbours joining me for the applause for NHS staff last night, it was heartwarming.

Iβm really glad you arenβt showing any symptoms, Sainty
lol I know what you mean about washing everything. I treat absolutely anything that crosses my door as being contaminated. Every bit of packaging and every tin etc is being disinfected and any food that can be washed, is being washed.
Signing in .....fully anti baccβtHope you are all ok .
I survived the run to the fracture clinic this morning ....and despite being a really complicated break ....which needed pins, plate and wire .....Itβs all settled well apparently , and I am now in a boot. I have to spend another 6 weeks at various weight bearing stages , but effectively Iβm discharged ....so no need for the hospital run ....thank goodness ! And on the plus side , I can now have a bath ....once weβve worked out how to get me up the stairs

Yoohoo!
Still here, still going strong, even though there was no milk or bread in yesterday's Tesco order, (but that was our fault - we forgot to click the box to allow substitutes! )
Afternoon all Hope you are all ok . Iβm Still around ...only problem today , so far , Is the WiFi has gone down ....and the router is upstairs Iβm hoping a switch on and off by the carer will sort it tonight , but if not Iβve got plenty of data allowance

Uh-oh! Hope you've other ways of entertaining yourself!!
Our internet went down for about 45 minutes during my work day last week, and I was delighted to retire to the couch with a book.
Day 14 in isolation
I'm free (apparently) of the 'lurgy' despite the worst headache of my life a week ago and an intermittent sore throat ... and quite horrific contact dermatitis around my eyes making it difficult to see lol.
Otherwise i feel fine And not missing going out at all
Only about 6 months to go . . .
And then my sister said she's now a "front line" carer - her wages have been increased (a lot), she has a special 'pass' to allow her to shop at 6.30am before anyone else and is in the "at risk" group.
She must be mad
Still here!
