Interesting HLs.

First we get Siavash whispering his appeal to God on whether he will or won't concerning nominations. Playing to the cameras, but in a rather unfunny and egotistical way? It's a gameshow you fool. Talk to Marcus and he'll explain to you it's a gameshow.

Then we get him getting totally trumped by BB as they give him his nominations (while at the same time unfortunately protecting him from eviction). He goes on about how it's wrong for people to turn against Bea. It's a game you fool. He is taking it personally just like Bea does, he is like her.

Then he leaves the DR and wonders what BB means about saying he has nominated, making a big thing of this and making it oh so important for him (even though he SAYS he isn't interested in the game).

It's a game though and he's always trying to turn the sympathy on for himself. He has the terrible dilemma to nominate. When Charlie does this people criticise him, why not the same with Siavash?

Then when he is told he will be punished he makes a big deal of it making it all about himself. Makes Marcus think he will be thrown out lol. If he isn't concerned about the game like he says why does he go on about these things so much?

Sounded to me like he did have sympathy for Bea while saying that he doesn't like it being a game.

jamie, you sum things up in so few words, but you always always always get to the crux of the matter so quickly. That is exactly what Siavash meant. They have turned on Bea because she is no longer a useful tool to get Freddie and Marcus up for eviction.

But it's a GAME. He is making it personal and all about himself. Just like Bea.

He did talk to Marcus.

Marcus told him that he's also strongly considering not nominating either.

The only difference is Siavash actually went through with it.

Marcus doesn't cry for the camera. He doesn't make such a big fuss over nominations.

Marcus realises nominations are just part of the game. I don't remember him blabbing about how hard nominations are and that he hopes God will guide him on such (according to Siavash) world shattering decisions. Roll Eyes

Marcus doesn't cry about someone being turned against in the house, he knows it's just part of a game. Siavash wants to make out that it's much more than a game when it isn't. Marcus has just been bored with the game and has wanted to liven it up or leave if it doesn't get more interesting. Big difference.

Uhhh hold on a minute.

In addition to Marcus suggesting tonight that he also wouldn't nominate this week... there was also the week where everyone apart from Lisa and Rodrigo were up. That was the week where Marcus attempted to orchestrate everyone refusing to vote. In the end they did vote, but gave invalid reason and then immediately revealed their nominations after leaving the Diary Room.

You are wrong to try to paint Marcus as some kind of benchmark in nomination protocol.

What is this talk of Siavash crying which you keep referring to? Did I watch a different programme to you?

But was he making a big deal of how the game was terrible and how it was too difficult etc etc? It's just part of his general rebelliousness which he does to liven up the show. Others did the same on that basis that week. Siavash did this to put the spotlight on himself. Siavash has been using nominations firstly to try and prove he was right on issues (such as rabbitgate, putting himself up) and now by 'taking himself out of the game' even though he is still in the game. I think Marcus has been more honest. He hasn't made it into some issue with God.

Someone else brought up 'crying', so I was replying to that. I meant he makes out that he makes it all personal and big. Whether he actually cries or not is not really important.

If Siavash doesn't care why does he agonize over what the punishment will be? Why doesn't he ask everybody to nominate him? Surely if he felt the game was inhumane he would do that.

He should have told all the HMs to put himself up then. Or if he doesn't want to be part of the game he could leave. Marcus has NEVER said he doesn't want to be part of the game. NEVER. He just said he was finding it more boring and that is would have been interesting to see it from the outside.

jamie, you sum things up in so few words, but you always always always get to the crux of the matter so quickly. That is exactly what Siavash meant. They have turned on Bea because she is no longer a useful tool to get Freddie and Marcus up for eviction.

That is one giant leap to make FT. There are no similarities between Bea and Siavash. Siavash has made one mistake with friendship, just one, but Bea has made many. Siavash risked being up this week because of his actions and he didn't mind taking the risk. That is a brave act. Bea was blackmailing all the others not to nominate her, and it backfired on her. Siavash has never stooped so low.

It's a GAME. Bea has tried different alliances but it's not easy for a new HM to establish a solid position in the house. Siavash seems to have gradually retreated (there's no Noirin there anymore as a reason for it). Except for Sophie I don't really see who else he really communicates with in the house. He was always a bit of an under the radar HM anyway.

I do appreciate it is a game FT. But by the very nature of staying under the radar, surely you would agree that this is a good tactic in the game. Siavash has had no major arguments in the house, he does not fight for camera time and perform like a performing seal when he thinks the camera might be on him (guess who I am referring to?), he minds his own business, keeps his own counsel, does his own thing regarding nominations and takes the risk of being evicted, etc etc. If, as you say, he is doing all this to win the money surely he is taking too many risks for it to be his main motivation? Charlie is the one who is taking no risks at all.

I think Charlie gets involved in more arguments than Siavash. I don't like Charlie but he does speak his mind more. Siavash isn't the only under the radar HM, Rodrigo is another for instance. I just don't think it is that entertaining. To make Rodrigo interesting they had to do this whole Queen twist. Siavash is having to use this nominations agony. He just doesn't get involved in the house much for me.

This got left at the bottom of page 2 so just reposting..

'a personality disorder characterized by extreme self-centeredness and self-absorption, fantasies involving unrealistic goals, an excessive need for attention and admiration, and disturbed interpersonal relationships.'

Marcus is the narcissist.
The Guru
Siavash is self absorbed, what makes him think that most people are interested in his agonising about nominations (including appealing to God) and retreating and disappearing in the house? Marcus just wants to give us a decent show to watch with his humour and interactions with others, and his popularity now suggests he is succeeding.
