That is exactly how I would describe myself pretty much exactly.

Do you think you have slight scopophobia?

*Goes to look that up*

Fear of being stared at or looked at too intensely, Sprout.

I go a but fingers and thumbs  if someone is watching me do something.

Woah!! I used to stand at the bus stop with someone like that! I kept moving away and she'd inch closer to me!  Move back will ya woman!

She's retired now but I get the Metro to work now    That said......the kids are playing silly buggers of a morning with me

Umm...it probably freaks a lot of people out? Even animals don't like being stared at.

Are they being nasty?  Sometimes groups of kids scare me more than a group of young men.  They don't seem to care what they say or who they say it to.

No, not nasty, just muscling in where I stand to get on the train every morning and even if I'm there on my own some will push past to get on before me

True

Moonie

I used to be dreadfully shy; not so bad now but am only really relaxed if I'm with company that I know. Bit of a nightmare back in the day when I had to do the meet 'n greet corporate shite with Mr C.

I used to front it out but hated it.

Younger son inherited my shyness as a kid to the point that he would almost cry with embarrassment.  He scored a goal the first time he played for the junior school footy team; the crowd cheered, he realised they were looking at him and........he promptly walked off

That's a real shame he could not enjoy the moment. I know from playing football it a fantastic feeling when you score (it's better than seâ€Ķ not scratch that).

But it is a great feeling.
