I have been out for a meal tonight with my friend who lives on a farm. They grow Christmas trees as a bit of a sideline. They are delivering me a 6ft tree tomorrow and charging me ÂĢ20 ... they are ÂĢ70 in the local garden centre.

I will post a pic at the weekend when it is decorated ... but don't expect much ... a friend of mine describes my tree as "did you trip up whilst walking towards it with a box of decorations in your hand?"

Gotta love her

Sounds lovely, the older the decorations are, the more precious.

I used to have real trees when i was a kid and they dropped needles EVERYWHERE! So i have the same artificial one i got when i met MrJen 11 years ago, the feet have long gone so it stands in a bin with house bricks to keep it up lol

Yes I remember standing on the dropped needles as a child. I will always associate Christmas with sore feet lol.

Sounds like a  fabulous idea ,you must do it and post a piccy of the finished article.

And you're telling me that you haven't actually done this...?

I've seen you comment about not enough room, Lori - make room!

I've been known to have a tree in the kitchen (and my bathroom too )

Not that I'm OTT where Crimbo trees are concerned....
