Go on ... who will be the first ?
I'll get my tiny tree up next week..it'll be a small affair. But I'd love to see how you are doing up your tree please!

Shame about that Baz, Maybe you can describe it so we get the idea ?
LOL.... well it's about 6ft... artificial...... with blue lights, lots of tinsel.... and a mixture of bought decorations, and lots of rather *unique* (and battered) ones that we made/bought for the kids when they were little...... they are now in their late thirties
I will do a pic of mine tomorrow coz I'm off out soon
I was down the market yesterday and was amazed at the choice of trees.
I asked one stallholder which was the most appropriate.
He asked if I would be putting it up myself.
I said not, and that I would prefer to put it in the sitting room.
I have a pop up pre lite tree( assembly time 5 mis max).

Aww i wanted to see pics in here! I may have to fix the bottom of mine ( mini me! ) and take a pic tomorrow, photos dont look to good in my living room lights for some reason
I'll get daughter too do it tomorrow
I have been out for a meal tonight with my friend who lives on a farm. They grow Christmas trees as a bit of a sideline. They are delivering me a 6ft tree tomorrow and charging me ÂĢ20 ... they are ÂĢ70 in the local garden centre.
I will post a pic at the weekend when it is decorated ... but don't expect much ... a friend of mine describes my tree as "did you trip up whilst walking towards it with a box of decorations in your hand?"
Gotta love her
Aww look forward to seeing it Rexi (moo?) lol
I used to have real trees when i was a kid and they dropped needles EVERYWHERE! So i have the same artificial one i got when i met MrJen 11 years ago, the feet have long gone so it stands in a bin with house bricks to keep it up lol
Jen - we have wooden floors, so real trees are not a problem
Some of the artificial trees are so lifelike these days, but I think I would miss the smell of a good real tree ... although I saw a fabulous purple tree the other day - I was soooo tempted
The fake ones about now look like they have eating disorder, thats why i still have my broken feet one from when (fake) tree food was cheap and abundant lol
I've been married for 34 years ............for thirty two of them we've always had a real one - two years ago my daughter (who is a bit OCD) e mailed me this and begged me to go artificial. I do miss the lovely smell but .............it really is so easy and CHEAPER! I'm growing to love my artificial tree TBH
.

Sounds lovely, the older the decorations are, the more precious.

Yes I remember standing on the dropped needles as a child. I will always associate Christmas with sore feet lol.
I'm not showing anybody mine unless I get to see theirs first.
Theres mine, complete with mini me in her raindeer(cant spell that!) outfit
Awww [ they're both ] lovely Jenstar
Thanx Rosie, i hate the angel though, usually have a star but the last one i had was to heavy and kept tipping one way or another so always looked wonky, looks crap with out the lights turned on tbh lol
It'll be like buses Jenstar... wait to you see
I haven't put my tree up yet.
I've bought new lights though
Looking at these lovely tasteful trees... I'm not sure I'll post mine when it's up.

I've got enough penguin ornaments to set up a separate, penguin-only tree.

And you're telling me that you haven't actually done this...?
I've seen you comment about not enough room, Lori - make room!
I've been known to have a tree in the kitchen (and my bathroom too )
Not that I'm OTT where Crimbo trees are concerned....
